Default QB drop back timing

I've been working on my offense, particularly my QB drop back and rollouts. What is the secret to having the QB drop back at just the right speed to allow receivers to get open without being so fast that he goes beyond the sack yardage limit before they do? What bases work best for this?

Default A wide top may be your best choice

You never really want to go straight back, try looping to the left or right side of the formation. Even if no one gets open, you can do a keeper. He may only get a yard or two, but that's better than a sack. And since he would be outside the tackle box, you can always throw it away if no one gets open!

Default slow

Slow, You have to tweek him for strength. I like my QB to be a med/slow speed.

That's what I'm kind of figuring. Right now, I've got him on a polo green base with an ITZ dial and he gets back really fast. He's at the 20 yard mark long before the receivers even have enough time to get past the LOS. I'll have to try a strong base and strength dial to slow his drop back down.

Default try this...

since you already have the QB on a TTC.....

.... try turning the wheel (dial) towards the back of the base...this will make the QB kind of sit in the pocket (with some movement)

.... or as FOTH said - rollout........

I would have the base be at medium speed
