punting on a solitaire game

what is the situation on a punting situation on a solo game (ex: how many players you put to rush the punter and also where do you put the kick returner, etc...)

It depends. Some solitaire players simply adapt the rules laid down by Miggle. Others work on a simulated punt —line the teams up in formation, with the return man already pre-positioned and presumed to automatically receive, turn on the board for five seconds or so to simulate hang-time, and give the defence a chance to block the punt (i.e. when a defender touches the base of the punter before the kick), then do a return or declare a free kick with the designated receiver. Other players simply mark off 40-45 yards from the punter's position on field —if it goes through the endzone, it's an automatic touchback; otherwise, it's spotted at the end of that distance for no return. And others do a no punting game. There are about as many ways to do punts in solitaire as there are in league MF/EF.

..."The Kicking Game" kicking cards from Chris Lemay for punts and kickoffs. I find it the fairest way to handle punts and kickoffs.

I also use these cards from Chris Lemay. They are nice, and very fair.

Very Simple... Use the"Shoot Out Rules" famous"Box" shake the box and look at the dice, then refer to the chart. This IMO is the best way to do it.

Hhmmmmmm. I think I'll incorporate the chart into my solitaire games to spice things up.

To me, that's part of the game. I like to see the kick placed on the field by the Kicker's on Returns.
Yes, it is time consuming, but, with the right practice and angles you practice place kicking the ball, you could keep the kick's live like the runs after the kick's.
So far, that's how i'm doing things. I like watching the hang time of the ball to start the game, and the placement of the ball being in different spots still in play...
Just keep practicing like anything else your doing to better your Performance and excitement of the game..
