![]() Fellas,
It's great to see so many leagues with good active memberships. Playing formats/styles are transversing the country and combining to form unified tournaments.Painting, detailing and customizing figures is at an all time high. We've come a long way HOMZ!!! My EF skills are that of a meer mortal ,but I know a few things and I'm sold out on this weigthed base issue. Regardless of how you play, when you put weight underneath your men his contract goes way up! In my opion a contract is the figure and his base. This is extremly important when your figures aren't centered proprely( See DVD#2). Please excuse my epithany! It's gravity! I can get blazing speed on most figures, but they keep falling over! I've seen great coaches with figures popping and bouncing all over the place and by chance they get open or scuttle pass a tackle and every body bows down low before these chumps! Not Tron! I keep working at it unitl the job is done! Adding weight under the base changes some of this tweaking nonsense. I guess the big head boy down in VA knows what he was talking about! My decree for the month of April is "Play with weight under your figures!" Start at 4.2g and work your way up! Kazam! The world is evolving! ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |

![]() You are onto something that's for sure, I do believe we will see more and more guys coming up to and exceeding 4.0, it is just going to take a little time and I think it will be slow going.
I can see leagues and or tourneys keeping a limit at 4.0 for now, but then also having some "open class" play, where you can bring the big boys for a little different MF experience. I would not be opposed to having a 4.0 team and also a heavyweight squad. It's gonna happen, but we still have people on the fence about going 4.0, so going beyond that will take some time. It's just another way to play the game. I still tell anyone who asks about playing or returning to the hobby about your DVDs, they are a valuable tool for anyone who wishes to get up to speed with where the hobby is at today. Thank you for that.
