Default Why Our Hobby ROCKS!!

With all of the negative energy that seems to be building as of late, I wanted to return to talking about the good things in our hobby.

I just finished a 27-man (Lombardi) Packers squad last night and thought "how cool is this?" I then went on my Mac and churned out decals for my 2006 Pro Bowl squads. And later worked for about 30-minutes on EF Planet. I came into this hobby with nothing and thanks to the friendship and brotherhood of my "go-to" guys I now have so much and feel empowered to do so much for the hobby. This game truly can be a wonderful thing.

Is there any feeling in the world better than finishing up that last figure on a team, or feeling satisfied with that last base you've been tweaking all day? Seeing your newest team line up for the first time is like magic.

Miniature Football gives us the opportunity use our minds and imaginations at a level that is very different from what the video gamers experience. Even different from playing the game of football itself. Now with the custom board designers, figure-makers, and decal artsits, it seems than almost anything is possible these days. I am down right giddy looking out at all of the great work that the artists are churning out.

Competition however, is the real fun of it all. You never know what an opponent's next play is going to be and it's the chess match that I love the most. Playing MPF is a progression from runt, to rival, to runner-up, to ready to win it all. I am still about mid-way to where I want to be.

I'm not going to draw a point because there isn't one. Just happy to be in the hobby and very proud to be among the REAL fans of our two great games (football, and EF).

I like this hobby because where else can LT sack Peyton Manning. Or Cszonka take a handoff from Marino. The Steelers of the 70's can play the Cowboys of the 90's.

No Doubt BigDawg.

I agree with you. I was at Will Travers' house yesterday evening and this guy really makes oranges into orange juice. He is a master at creating new poses out of Buzzball figures.

Let's see...what else...oh, Bruce Watts makes awesome game boards baby!! I am going to produce special covers to fit his board size.

There are many talented persons in the familia.
