Default Chuck Lawrence, talk to me...

I know it's been a tough start and I know the rules don't always align to reality but what do you think? Tough loss against that darn Green Compost up in Michigan but keep doing what you do!

Did you get enough opportunities?

Default Reggie

I love the style.Yea there is a rule or two I don't like.I don't like all the Great Lake rules either.Against Norbert I had chances. He could not stop my recievers.I could not hit the broad side of a barn.Probaly my worst passing game EVER.Plus two ints.Norbert had some fast blitzers to.Plus had two big huge plays. It could of a better game.I just did not perform that day.

I worked out my football issues and my FG kicker so I am ready.

When I played Jim I was down two scores and in second half and should of blew Jim out but a miss pass and a TD called back(darn box)hurt me.I still took the lead in 4th quarter. Then Jim scored to win.Me and Jim games was the game I ever had.It had everything in it.We had 82 plays with no OT.It was awesome.

I like the clocks.I was down 2 scores to Don in the 4th and still could of won.I am having football issues.Bugs are worked out and I will rebound.I ain't out yet.

Default Coach, yall need to thank...

my boys Jim Davis and Norbert Revels for coming down to the DFW to take part in the league. I will say that what I do is premeditated. I knew if I could get Jim down here to experience it, he would like it. This style fits Norbert like a glove!

When they came down here, Jim immediately fell in love with the style. Norbert played like a 10 year veteran. So I knew right away, if I could get you guys to at least try the rules, the changes would freak you out. And while I respect the great coaches in the Great Lakes (as many are friends and customers), at least in the offseason, some of you can play an alternative style which keeps the fires burning.

If you can pass with the TTQB or TDQ, you can run in this style. Plays can be developed. You have to think 5 plays up. I know some of yall hate the 3-1 ratio on audibles but stick with it and I guarantee over time, you will see the benefits. My logic here is just like the NFL defenses are usually at a disadvantage, we like that same thing in the Shootout style. The reason is simply that the defense will take more risk which by season's end, if a defense is giving up 7-13 points/game, you can rest assured that is an outstanding defense. Trust me, in this style of play, 50-80 points is easily and highly possible. So if you held a team to 7 points, all I can say is WOW!

On offense, we love the injuries, penalties, and fumbles. They add an element in the game that is not replicated anywhere else. It is a great conversation piece. Plus games can change on the shake of a box, just like the NFL. The next time you are watching a real game, when a fumble, penalty, or injury happen, you may just say "They shook the Box on that Play" and that's what happened!

The clocks can allow you to get over 100 plays! You guys have become quite efficient quite fast! Jim Davis and Greg Hardmon has taught the Big 10 well! I love calling up there and getting updates! I remember that game that you and Jim had! The back-and-forth is what makes this style so exciting! I feel like I don't have to sell this anymore but I love to talk about it!

So yall do need to give Jim, GHard, and Norbert some props for being forward thinking! These guys had my back and I have their backs!

Good luck Chuck on bringing home the gold! Get efficient at the pass and you will win. Turnovers, injuries, and penalties will happen but make sure from a skill point of view, you are still doing what you need to do!

Question Don't you mean

Open minded.

Nice Style. I can't wait to play some others style also.

I look at some of the scores and I know I better do some serious scoring because I can see the "D" is going to get hit at some point.

Like I said when we talked Reginald, the curves thrown at you with the box is a test of your mettle, your ability to overcome obstacles. Even though I made that bonehead shake of the box after a sack that turned into a 15 yard penalty and automatic first down on my 20, I still didn't allow a point in that drive. I like that aspect but I will never blame it for a loss or a win. Great teams overcome obstacles, so dare to be great, right?

The pace is very brisk, almost like a hurry-up, and the hurry up is like the lightning round. That's great because you have to get, then stay organized. It's just what I need to improve some of my set-up problems. That's why I'm playing. Oh yeah, the good company and high level of competition is also a major reason.
