Default General Observation Since the April 17 Pronouncemen

I have noticed in reading alot of the postings, threads, responses, etc. there seems to be some contentions abounding. I felt that way when I kept reading how "Electric Football" & "EFL" were being "swapped" out for "Mini-football" etc. I was quite perturbed and posted a posting on this message board and on Miggle's message board. After posting these messages I did some checking and found that Mr. Landsmann had indeed got a registered trademark for those two phrases and one other which I cannot remember what it entailed. I immediately went and did my utmost to delete my two messages once I realized they were posted in haste.

As far as the "I bought it, I can do with it as I please" I remember not too many years ago an Online website offered free down loads of music, any music from any artists. A lot of the songs were being shared by those individuals who had paid money and wanted to share the music with those who may not have the money to buy their own. Well If we all remember, the music industry and some "greedy" artists threw royal fits and sued this website, they now charge you to down load. I guess we all have got to gird up our loins and act more adult and less juvinile...and I am including myself at the top of this list.

Thank you for allowing me to vent a little.

Thanks for the venting. Ever since I drafted my book "The Power of THEN " and had some guy write "The Power of Now", I decided to focus on playing with my little plastic men. Seemed simple enough. Heck when I was writing my book I came to understand that most people live in THEN and not NOW. I wondered how my little men lived. Then I came to understand that they are just plastic. This came as a rude awakening as I had developed a good relationship with number 34 on my team. But as you stated, growing up comes to all of us at different times and I had to explain it to good old number 34 that he is just plastic. It was not easy but it had to be done.
Then I come to find that he has a little plastic lawyer. I have a microwave. That answered that in a hurry. He is plastic and I can do what I want with him. I don't even have to put him on the vibrating board. I can keep him on the shelf.
Now if I do use him I take it by the constitution of these here United States, that I can play and change the rules mid stream if I am playing by myself. If I am playing with someone else it is common courtesy to know the rules before we start the game.
I am pretty flexible but I really want to be in the NOW. Our Big Brother is no longer affiliated with the NFL but is going to move ahead with college and a new generation will be inspired to play college ball before playing pro. Imagine that.... . When they want to go pro they just go to ebay and when they want some sophisticated teams with wristbands and facemasks they can go to the masters that we can find on sites like this one. That was not available to me when I first played on my 500 board with the all in one men that I painted to look like the local high schools. What did I know, I was only a kid. My men were not real then, they were just plastic. There was a bigger rivalry with my friend who had a game from a different manufacturer and when we played his guys were a tad bigger then mine and he always seemed to win. He is now my insurance agent for my business and I can't get him the least bit interested in playing again. He know's about my number 34 , his lawyer, and my microwave.

There are way more of us who just want to play and really don't care who is right about whatever seems to bother them. I was told recently that someone has to be the "hardass" when it comes to playing in championship playoffs. I don't think anyone is attracted by that personality type or especially negativity that can be reflected by some individual posts.
Knowledge is power, when you know the rules and play by them we are stronger as a group playing this game. We can play by whatever rules we want but only one set in the game we are playing. If anyone creates new rules that are fun and exciting and type them in a letter and then mail them to themselves in a certified letter format. They will be covered in any court. The court here seems to be made up of little plastic men and the real men who play with them like my number 34 and me. Fantasy on a vibrating board.
You know like being on the beach and having the nice dream you get if you are lucky with the woman only in your dreams and then some bozo comes over and kicks sand on your blanket and wakes you up.
Let's not let any bozo ( no offense to the Bozo team ) ruin your fantasy about our great hobby.

This is all in the spirit of fun and fellowship, or at least that is my intention.

There might be a sequel in the "Adventures of Number 34".
