Default Miggle is still the main player of efl

Miggle sells way more product than any of the other companys put together. They are on many main retail sites in the country, most eflers get thier bases from them.Yes most of you all have custom boards and teams but if you look at the numbers thier are 231 members on here I am sure Mike Landsman has sold more than 200 boards this year!!What many fail to realize is that we are not the only ones who play their are many who play that you dont know about.Canton will have about 30 40 guys who will come.Thiers more than that in the country that play I sold three games in a week out of my store. We are the advance hobbist that small group of guys that love this game so much!!If miggle closed its shop it would be devasting to the hobby!!

Default Well...

a few thoughts are in order here.

I guess Modell's, Dick's Sports, and a few others where I saw them in the store this year aren't big enough? They are the ONLY EF company producing and selling to the masses - period!

I'm guessing that at the convention in Canton most of the oohs and ahs will be about the players and teams and not the game.

Man I sure hope not - I can see pics of the custom players on here all the time - Me and Nick are looking to see some great plays by the great coaches.

So in response to the question posed by Raveena Al. Has the hobby evolved past Miggle, I say yes. And really that's too bad becuase Miggle kept the hobby alive for the several hundred guys around the country who are enthusiastic about it. But if Miggle closed tomorrow how many of us would put away or sell our collections and stop playing the game? My guess is none.

It might not affect us - but many others. For example take Electric Trains for example. There are tons and I mean tons of cottage industry guys out their doing all kinds of custom stuff - but it is still the main companies that provide the entry level experience and initial fun for the beginner. Heck - how many of us saw ourselves still playing electric football in our 40's and beyond?

Maybe more of us need to donate some of those teams and bases in plastic bags not being used we have to guys like Coach Karim to use in his youth clinics / programs!

This is a ridiculous thread, if Miggle went away tomorrow, this hobby would be set back and never recover. We need Miggle, I need Miggle, I need their
'67 Bigmen, I need all of their bases, I need all of their field accessories, I need all of their footballs, their TTQB, I need the Landsman family, I need the Miggle forum which like it or not, a lot of us met on that forum and most importantly I need all the years they kept this hobby alive after Tudor bowed out!!!!!

WE NEED MIGGLE and we have not outgrown them!

Complete and utter foolishness!

I usually don't get involved with these kind of threads but this one is different. If it weren' for Miggle, I myself couldn't afford to be involved with this great hobby. I don't own a custom board. I don't have custom figures, all I have is what I have got from Miggle and some members have given me or I have made myself. I am very thankful for Miggle so someone in my position can play this great game. We have progressed to the point where there are alot great products out but you always have to have a entry point. Miggle has supplied this and I hope they do as long as I live. If I would have had to shell out the price of a custom board I wouldn't be playing. So from my point of view we would be lost with out Miggle.
My 2 cents

Thumbs up Thanks Guys For Stepping Up!

As I get my Haiti Repo, Buzzball Figures, and Miggle Bases ready on my Ohio State Buckeyes I will say this:

I didn't have to go to one garage sale to get em.

I have one custom board. I practice on a miggle board because of the true surface. I pass with Miggle quarterbacks. Not very well, but I think it's the operator, not the TTQB.

I got to know the Landsmans as very good people, extremely competitive business wise. They are cut from a different cloth and see things from a different perspective. One we are now coming to know both Legally, and professionally. I never asked them for anything nor did I judge them as I have always respected the one fundamental truth about them. They resurrected the hobby and had the humility to mingle with their customers. To start such a thread is insulting to the hobby and a threat to it's very existence.

They are not selling $1000 boards nor taking credit for every innovation in the hobby. Most of you can call and they will pick up the phone. Not some spin doctor with layers of protection through some snotty operator.

My plan this Saturday is to show up and play with my minimally custormized team trained on a Miggle Board then dedicate my efforts to them.

LONG LIVE MIGGLE! LONG LIVE MIGGLE!

Default ELFGUY

AS FRED SANFORD would say, ARE YOU CRAZY?????
MIGGLE makes college teams and you can still buy pro teams, just no decals.
the conventions are still the best thing going.

ALL THE LONG LASTING FRIENDSHIPS OVER THE LAST 15 YEARS IS BECAUSE OF MIGGLE AND HECK NO WE HAVE NOT OUT GROWN MIGGLE, WE NEED THEM MORE NOW THAN WE EVER DID. YOU CAN HAVE THE BEST POSES FROM REGGIE, EFLGRIDIRON, BUZZBALL AND ALL THE OTHER FANTASTIC CUSTOMER FIGURE MAKERS, BUT IF THEY HAVE NO BASES TO RUN ON ALL YOU HAVE ARE DISPLAY ITEMS. BEFORE YOU POST SOMETHING IN THE FUTURE PLEASE TAKE IN CONSIDERATION HOW SILLY YOU MAY COME ACROSS. GIVE US WEATHER REPORTS IN THE FUTURE, NOT POST THAT WERE NOT WELL THOUGHT OUT.
