The board runs smooth as silk (now)!
I did have a dead spot at the 50 or at the Dallas Cowboys Star at midfield...respectably referred to as the "Death Star". It has gone down in HHEFL lore, since many a game was decided when players could not break the black hole at mid-field. The dead spot is now gone...and it is running beautifully! I don't now how many people have Kistner fields, but they are a thing of beauty...solid oak frame...the old type field covers...double motors and duel on/off switches...they are a gem to play on. A tribute to Mark Kistner...one of the first and best board makers...and a really nice guy.

Let us know Ken...
Tell him I said hi Ken...here is a story for you. When I met him at he 2004 Miggle Convention, I was immediately aware of how nice this guy was. He was very friendly and we made a electric football connection immediately...and as a result...I wanted a Kistner field as soon as I could get one. Two months later he called me and asked for my address so he could ship it to me. Well...I was not taking any chances with the mail system delivering such a precious cargo. My wedding anniversary was coming up...so I told him to hang on to it and I would arrange something.
Well...I told my wife..."hey honey, I think we should drive over to Springfield, Illinois for our anniversary trip this year". My wife had no idea that we were driving over to pick up a Kistner board. She figured it out when we pulled into Mark's driveway.  Long story short...we hung out there for some of the afternoon, I did take my wife out to eat, mostly because she was going to be riding in the back seat making sure the board did not get damaged (the vehicle was full from our shopping trip to the Springfield Mall). To this day, she still brings up the anniversary trip to Springfield. That board and her have a special bond. Now a days, I have to give her a complete itinerary of our anniversary trips...  Thus the legend of the Kistner board continues....
