What makes a good League.....
.... Great?
As I was typing my response to the Mid Ohio photo gallery I began to ponder what makes a good league great? What are some of the attributes and why do they matter? So I thought I would start out with a list to get some discussion on the matter..... Here are some of the attributes I came up with: - Fellowship. I see this as the feeling that your league-mates are like your extended family. Outside of your spouse and kids, they are the people you would choose to spend your free time with. - Sportsmanship. Coaches may complain or disagee with a call but the do so with R-E-S-P-E-C-T. They do what they can to help "lesser" coaches get better. - Competition. Wins are hard to come by as any coach can win, not only in your league but at a convention or invitational. - Events and organization and media. Do they put on a show for their championship or schedule special events. Are they organized? Do they provide game results, stats, news and information? - Reliability/ longevity. Do the coaches play their games and complete their seasons as scheduled? Established leagues have stood the test of time..... - Size/ Road warriors. Does it matter? I some ways it is a sign of a good league that coaches are willing to travel to participate. How do you feel your league measures up in these categories? There's always room for improvement. What categories would you add to this list?

Fun not fighting...
knowing that friendship recedes when competition begins and returns to it's natural position .5 seconds after the game ends. The comradership remains throughout the gamed. Having a great respect for eachother and their skill levels. Being a proud member of your league and being conciouse that you are and example of your league mates and (-) or (+) what you do is reflected upon by others. Champion 2nd place, 3rd, or last have mutual respect for each member in the league and always help the rookie

also
having league meetings where everyone gets a say, and league rules to vote on , or rules you would like to see changed , by implementing new rules you would like to see voted on.
