![]() Michigan Joe and Raven Maniac,
Michigan Joe, You would know this as well but the principle of the cigarette lighter/heat and submerge in water is engineering fundamentals I learned at the University of Tennessee called metallurgy. Although there are no metals involved, the principle is still the same. With our plastics, they are such that with a little heat, they will not shrivel up. You can re-form to whatever position you want them to be in. Then submerging them in ice water hardens them to the point that it becomes a permanent pose. I use this method a lot. I also use the cutting method a lot. It just depends on where the cut is and the difficulty and stress of how the body is contorted. Over time, you definitely develop your own skills to do these things. What's really wonderful is that the guys that are now customizing our figures see that the sky is the limit. You can re-create any player in history in any action pose that you want. Your imagination is your limit. The techniques are consistent once you establish them. What you will come to find that things that you may think is "throw-away" just may be the makings of another athlete. Give me a call sometimes to discuss your addiction. Reg |
