Perhaps 5 seconds is better. That gives you time to place the stick from helmet to helmet, put down the stick, and place the ball down. After a while you'll need to become pretty good at eyeballing the distance and placing the ball away from the defenders. That was not easy when I used stick placement in my solitaire league as I played zone defenses. I had defensive guys in most areas of the field. That may be why I had almost as many INT's as TD's.

For me, as long as the coach make his choice fast on board turn OFF, I'm happy with it.

Perhaps I'll see for complexity in a few games. For now it's already enough faster and pressurized for my taste and skills

I can't even say 'passing sticks' in 2 seconds, let alone try to pick one up and place it down again...

I think my rule of yelling the number of the receiver when you turn off the board is not as stupid as it may look...It can transform the MF game in a hybrid between football and Uno card game

"UNOOO !!!! hum, I meaned 84!!! 84!!!"

Does UNO even exists in USA ?

You, as the QB, should be reading the coverage, checking receivers and keeping an eye on the lineman AS the play is going. IMO, the QB should say the intended receiver's name/number simultaneously with board stoppage, simulating when the ball is being released.
