![]() thank you Don.
I guess if you has difficulties to tweak the TTC bases, as a newbie, it should be pretentious to hope to success where you failed. That topic join a little the one I did on TTC bases use... See that vid (2008 tournament with "big names" in it) http://vimeo.com/5830025 They often use proline rookie bases. Even for their offensive line...but very few TTC bases, in fact. Not speaking of stacking I don't use, they use the same pivot method on lines I'm using. So...perhaps it's the key ? start with a team with only proline rookies bases (square/rounded and strong/fast assortement) since people seems to be very happy with them, and try to learn how to tweak proline ttc bases on spare time ? thanks, dimitri |

![]() mixed bases assortement with Polo green bases and proline bases ?
![]() Some people said me that it was great for speed. So perhaps I can use proline rookie strong bases, pologreen rookie bases for speed, and mixed polo shells + proline dials for strenght ? Has anyone successfully tried to paint bases (so I can use all kinds of bases, including diamond bases for example ) ? How ? Seeing the base material, I don't think paint can stick a lot on these ? any help will be appreciated. Thanks ! dimitri |

![]() I would not recommend painting bases....it could be done as long as you avoided any paint on prongs and sealed the rest well. I think paint would tend to come off pretty easily on the soft plastics.
I think you will be happiest with Proline strong rookie bases. Rounded fronts are better for blitzers and receivers/TE (or those you need to get open out of the backfield). The Proline TTC's are not good....but you can use the dials with regular bases for strength....Other than that, you can reposition the existing dial forward and tighten it. That requires cutting and such, but you can make it work. I think the Proline TTC shells are excellent for taking ITZ dials as well....but it is a shame to lose those powerful rear prongs...but a good use for a base that is over-tweaked or just is a clunker in general. The black bases that Geno put out also are a good shell to use with ITZ directional dials! You will want to get out of production rare bases to really make your team special though. Boat style bases are great for receivers. The old Proline boat style rookie bases are awesome if you can find them....as are Munro bases....some of which have true directional dials like the ITZ dials. Boat bases can also make good blitzers...or penetrating D-linemen. Buzzball speed diamonds are awesome for skill positions...but using the bigger figures might be top heavy, so you will have to add weight to the base (museum putty underneath works) to keep your guys from falling over. I have also seen speed diamonds used under any of a number of shells to make hybrid bases that are very special! |

Can I use straight front strong rookie bases for my o line (a "emergency" solution if I can't tweak correctly proline strong ttc) ? Would you say that the proline rookie strong base is an "all around" base ? What about rookie speed bases ? are they fast and not too complex to tweak? I 'm quite successfull in speed tweaking, and even in strenght tweaking. THe biggest issue I meet is making mixed strenght/speed bases. Usually I achieve good speed result with rookie bases, and good strenght with TTC. :o and speaking of TTC bases, what about speed ttc proline bases ? are they significantly faster than regular TTC bases ? Well...I believe I'll go for a assortment of the complete proline range 'focusing on strong rookie bases), and buy a bunch of regular miggle ttc to use the proline strong dials if I can achieve a decent 100% proline ttc tweaking...at home I've got a few extra bases, and all the bases I use on my current team...but I should prefer to have one base style and color, for good looking :o thanks ! ![]() |

![]() The Pro-Line TTC shell with a white dial can make a great base for Safeties. FAST
