Wes Welker
Good afternoon, The French Guy has inspired me to create some customs. I'm new to the forum, so let me know what you think.
I'm a Pats fan, and Welker fan (sucks he blew out his knee today). I'm working on a Tom Brady and Kevin Faulk next. Dave |

Great job !
I'm proud I inspired you and very happy to see new blood in the modelling side of the hobby....even if I am new blood too, in a sense
Don't forget to putt 2 or 3 coats of gloss varnish on that helmet EDIT : I forgot one thing : you can also "seal" the figure body with mat acrilic medium. It helps a lot to make the figure surface more smooth, and to integrate the decals better Last edited by the french guy : 01-03-2010 at 05:32 PM. |

Thanks!
I put 1 coat of gloss on the entire figure. I tried a matte finish on a test figure and it crackled the paint giving it a funny look. So I went with entire coat of gloss. I ordered my red face masks, so they are on the way.

French guy, how do you make your bases for the grass? They look great.

What did you use for varnish ? If you use acrilic medium (mat or gloss) with brush, you will not have this type of problem. ANd you can do multiple coats easily.
For the bases finish (and other things), take a look here : http://miniaturefootball.org/2009/11...ng-for-battle/ |
