Default Miggle timing

hey guys, its been a while if this has came up.....

do you think maybe we all could persuade miggle to move their convention to a different time period of the year?

whats the reason for the timing of the middle of january?

im sure its a good time for them, but i know lots of people have long weekends for other holidays and even spring break, and for me, and some of you who are teachers, summer would be better, so i was just wondering?

even a time of year where there is no chance of flights being delayed would be good, cause i for one would love to drive, and the summer is perfect cause my wife teaches, and my daughter is in school, it would be a perfect driving/getaway/vacation for us. oh well, my perfect miggle convention would be summertime in texas, just be sure you can beat the heat....

hope everyone has a GREAT time , have fun, fellowship and talk to a few strangers at the convention. oh yeah, if you happen to see Raveena al, if he goes, and you already know him, go ahead and talk to him too, he will alwayes be a "stranger:...

Default Don't think they would change after 16 years!

I know the weather isn't the best, but it's always cold in Jan. This will be my 13th straight year attending. They did have it in Jacksonville, and it wasn't that many people there.
Philly, Md, & Pitt were some of the biggest crowds.

One of the biggest and best changes was when they started going with Embassy Suites hotels. Just can't beat that place.

Mark seems like the MFCA convo would be perfect for you. Its held in July during HOF weekend. Just crazy!!!! Crazy in a good way tho. Those are the bookend tournament/conventions of our sport/hobby.

I like when Miggle has it. Wish they could announce earlier where it will be held, but I have no problem with Jan.

Hope to see you at the MFCA, since it's warmer!!!!

Nat'l

columbus has had snow on the ground for 3 weeks as of tonight ! We have had extremely cold weather with highs in the low 20's at best, but just in time for Miggle we will have temps in the 40's this weekend

Sorry , we all are not Norseman

low 20's was the high , most of the time was in the teens or single digits without the windchill .
I think the reason Miggle has their convention during the winter is mainly because that during the summer most people of our age have kids that are into some kind of extra cirriculars that take up most of our time. Atleast this is my case.

thanks guys. it makes more sense now , reading the different reasons, i knew it had to be something. BTW, way down here we has 4 nites in a row under 26 degrees, twice we hit 18. that is bone chillin', cold for us southeners.

i really am interested in the MFCA convention, but it seems like the area would be over run with too many people? maybe i can get the wife and daughter talked into it this summer. thanks.

good luck with the talks....

... The MFCA convention grants you access to the HOF activities (most any way) and if you love the Cowboys, I beleive they will be playing in the game and Emmitt is going in...as well as others....
