The little 500 is sweet. This post, my initial question is over 15 months old, someone saw this one and brought it back from the dead. Glad someone was able to find it useful again. I have long learned my lesson on this topic.

if the 500 is the 24x12 like the small, Miggle board, then that is what I use for some arena style ball, what I call Short-Board on my blog listed below. I love the little thing. Runs really, really well. Slight concave in the board but it does not seem to effect anything too adversely. If you put a leaner-receiver turning towards the upslope of where he leans, he seems to run straight!

The 500 I'm looking at is slightly larger, about 27x16... like the ones used in the buzzball videos. I'm about ready to seal the deal.
