Default MAGNETS

I believe the only stipulation about magnets is if an opposing player's movement is prohibited by another player on a magnet that is a 10yd Holding penalty. So, with that being the consequence you prolly only want to use them under RBs and the QB.

Hey JimBo

JimBo is 100% correct, magnets can not be placed on the line that will prohibit the line men from moving. On the offensive behind the line the same for the defensive side, behind the line.

Holding: Now if the QB is on a magnet and the DT pushed the offensive line back into the QB that is on a magnet and there movment is effective then by rule it is holding on the offense as the back of the O line mens base touches the QB on a magnet due to the rush of the DT. This is common and over looked because the officials sometime look at the game and not officiate it as they should.

Default WR,slot magnets use

Guys,I think if you use them on your WR/Slots,you can develop a nice screen package like jailbreaks, ect. This gives you time to get blockers out there plus the defense will have to commit players to stopping your screens which thins them out in other areas you can attack--STT

Think, Think,Think!!!!!!!

You can not use magnets on the line right? You make you're team and plays what they are through what you know about football. Just practice, you cant get around it!

Years of testing has proven that the answer is right under you're nose, and is very simple, there is a way to run all plays within the MPFL, but you have to put in the time to find out. That is how you get smarter !

Default slots/WB's

Slots play off the line so they can use magnets.By line not using magnets is that TE-Tackle box or the line of scrimmage that extends out to the WR also?BTW it would be nice to have a rule book for the game adaptations that we use for the board-IMO--STT

Default Practice

There are basic question that I know coaches will ask, however how to run a play is a question that is answered in the system through practice.

If I give you the answer then what have you learned? Again if you practice and put in the time then you will understand.

If I give a man a fish he will eat for a day, if I teach a man out to fish he will eat for a life time. If you have the DVD then I have taught you how to fish.

Default IF YOU CAN THINK OF IT IN YOUR HEAD, YOU CAN RUN IT.

Coaches,

during the next few day's and next week, watch these college bowl games. Watch all of the trick designed play's run by florida. Watch the passing scheme's run by texas tech. You can do all of these if you see a play and say, how can i work this ito the MPFL system. This system gives you the flexibility to try many things. Just write down a play scheme you have in your head and run it on your board. In this style everyone is completely different. When a coach lines up hs players, you don't know what the heck he is going to do during his stoppages. Just approach this as, this is my football team and this is what we are going to do. LET'S SEE IF HE CAN STOP US. Once you figure out how to devise a play using the passing sticks and player magnet combo. Your creativiity is endless. Ive been reading on line the nfl rules on nfl.com. Once you learn what the players can and can't do in the NFL, that's what you can and can't do here in the MPFL SYSTEM.

But i understand where the coaches are coming from in regards to a rule book. They want to make sure that if they run a play or do anything in this system it will be accepted and not rejected. JUST REMEMBER NO MAGNETS ON THE 7 MEN ON THE LINE OF SCRIM THEN THINK OF ALL THE POSSIBILITIES WHERE YOU CAN USE THE MAGNETS ON THE QB/RB'S.

FOR INSTANCE, " let me keep a mag on this running back for a stoppage while the qb drops back (stop 2). roll the qb to the right side and take the magnet off the running back and shoot him into the flat(stop 3). look for a sweet spot where he can burn a linebacker getting to the ball and place down a passing stick that your comfortable with your rb getting there via knowing his base running abilities (stop 4 make the catch ) >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>touchdown.

Default SLOT SCREENS

If you can stop the board faster than the DB hits your Slot, then I say try it! BUT...if that DB hits him before you stop it - HOLDING, OFFENSE!

There are other ways to run the same play. Ya just gotta work at it. Good questions, Coach STT. As far as "written rules" see http://www.nfl.com/rulebook That's ALL there is.

Default Release rule helps

A coach can also use the release rule to set plays up.As long as he cannot hit you on the snap switch he has to give you the space to operate in is how I interpret it.Question, does an offensive coach have to say"Release the recievers" each play or is it a given that the defense does it.On runs the off.coach may want to stalk block the DB;s and not say release or say release as a decoy.LMK on this one--Thansk STT
