Default Paint help!! Problems

I am having some problems while attempting my first paint job. The bright yellow color I am using for the packers helmets and pants is going on really bad, not smooth at all. I am having to paint the yellow over and over to get coverage and this is really trashing up the figure. What do I need to do?? Help would greatly be appreciated!

Is the problem that the paint is transparent when applied or that the paint is so lumpy that it takes a couple of coats to smooth out the layers of paint out ?

Default Paint

Yes Jeff, I do see transparent at the bottom of the bottle. The paint is very glumpy from my having to paint over and over.

Default take off the paint.....

take off the paint, it should just peel off using your finger nails and fingers, ............. then, get some "extender" and I would also try to find some apple barrel gloss yellow.

try your paint, put about a table spoon in something, and put in a few drops of extender, ................thoroughly mix, and try painting again.

If that doesn't work, use the apple barrel gloss yellow and mix it with your yellow to get your desired shade/results, .................one of these two options should work for you.

Have you used a primer on the figure before painting? I always hit a figure with a light coat of spray primer first before painting.

Default Primer

Shabby, I have not used a primer, but that sounds like a good idea. Do you recommend any particular type?
