Default All Coaches

To all new coaches to this area,
To coaches Artlax, STT,Frank B, and Micjael D

I have been thinking about you guys all day, thinking about things being lost in the translation. I know and understand that you're going to have question about this system, and I am ready to answer them.

So to better understand you're questions, and you're line of thinking I have ask some MPFL graduates to help out with answering you're question.

Second I have a question to ask you that will help me understand where you are in you're learning curve.

1; Have you put you're team on the board and practiced along with any area of the DVD ? YES or NO

2; Have you put you're team on the boaed and ran 12 plays or more ? YES or NO

3 Have you watched the DVD only ? YES or NO

You're answers will help me understand how you are viewing the system and what you're line of thinking is.

I can and will help you understand the things you do not yet understand, just bear with me and I will bear with you

Default GOOD MOVE

Since we haven't been able to talk, you must have heard my thoughts from across the country! I was thinking the same thing - let's just help these guys get on the board. Answering questions won't hurt and when they get on the board with us they'll be that much more ahead of those that didn't ask. This could be the 2nd chance for a first impression in spreading the word of the MPFL. Good move.

I can and will help you understand the things you do not yet understand, just bear with me and I will bear with you

NO

2; Have you put you're team on the boaed and ran 12 plays or more ? YES or NO

Not in this system

3 Have you watched the DVD only ? YES or NO

Some of the excerpts

You're answers will help me understand how you are viewing the system and what you're line of thinking is.

I can and will help you understand the things you do not yet understand, just bear with me and I will bear with you

My questions have been of a more general nature - in fact I don't recall asking that many detailed questions about the rules, etc...

I did however ask about your league - number of coaches, games, etc.
It would seem that my line of thinking was pretty clear - in fact I explained previously.

I am sure that you know that my other comments were in general directed towards some of the interaction here and presentation of your system (ie. comparisons) with suggestions as to how to put it out there positively.

No doubt at some point I will be asking Manta Ray Dre to elaborate about the MPFL system and playing in it.

Hopefully this will put your mind at rest so you can just keep getting ready for the next season/game.

As stated before I wish you and all the coaches well. Play on, enjoy and have fun!!

Default THANKS COACHES

Thank you, and this tells me alot as far has how you guys are seeing things.

If you answered "No" to all three:
There is so much more that the system offers beyond just watching the DVD. It is designed to grab hold of you're mind and simulate you're thinking as the questions you have will be self answered once you actually start functioning in the system the rest will unfold right infront of you.

The NFL Rules: Through the events that take place on the field you need to refer to actual football as this will help you to interpret what you are seeing.
Offsides, false start, holding, pass interference, illegal man down field, ineligible man/receiver , illegal subsubstitution, delay of game and much more are all outlined in the DVD.

If you answered "Yes" to all three:
You are on you're way to fulling understanding the game of football beyond the TV. You will learned what it takes to make a play work, who needs tobe block, how do you read the following, ( Pass defense and coverages, set up and run off blocks, reading the blocks, and more ).

You will also see just how 10 men working together will put one man in the end zone or see how one man can make a huge difference in one play.

Collectively:
As the system becomes second nature to you ( in about 2 months if you practice once a day 3-5 days a week ) you will see that you do not have tobe an expert base tweaker, or rely on the ttqb.

The stoppages replace the need and use of dial bases as you control the direction the base goes.

And guys, believe it or not I am still learning as I play !!!!! The system keeps teaching me because the game is never the same. You have to adapt every play, every game, every day.

Over time you will set up faster, and understand what you need tobe looking at durring the play. You will find out that you are no longer watching the game but now you are apart of the game so as you think, as you see the game through the system, as you go, so goes you're team.

A HUGE KEY: THIS IS NOT EF!!!!!!!! THIS IS A HOLE NEW ANIMAL!!!!!!
With that said you can not understand this system thinking EF. That will hold you back and slow you're understanding of the system down.

Allow you're self to learn and don't think to much into things, it will come to you faster. And the feeling you will get when you run a play and you stop the board and see how every man has done his job, the play is there it will look just like something you wll see on the NFL Playbook on NFL NETWORK.

Default So by your standard...

If I answered yes to all three I will have a better understanding of football - than the fact that I have coached football for many years.

Interesting!

Bob, the ONLY meaning as it applies to THIS topic is if an interested party hasn't practiced alongside the dvd for at least 12 plays (a full possession) or if they have ONLY WATCHED the dvd, then the answers to their questions are going to be different.

For those of us who have been on THIS chatboard since its inception and any of the others over the past 4-5 years, we ALL should know that AB is extremely passionate about his baby - the MPFL System. WE ALL KNOW his passion AND frustrations DO NOT translate in typeform. WE ALL KNOW he needs an entire bikini team to do his marketing , but until then WE ALL SHOULD KNOW when to be offended and when not to be.

I don't think you've ever been the target of AB's frustrtaions nor do I believe you have antagonized his frustrations, so this is not an attack on you, but just a PSA to those that may have misinterpretated the intent of this playstyle which is to expand our minds BEYOND the standard, traditional one stop style of play that we ALL grew up playing.

I simply consider this style to be likened to Star Trek's Tri-Dimensional Chess or even more recently Harry Potter's Wizrd's Chess as either of these compare to regular chess, whereas there is NOTHING wrong with bbasic chess, but some of us simply wish to play Tri-Dimensional or Wizrd's instead.

Default Not offended - c'mon man...

Just pointing out that there are better ways to communicate and promote.

That IS THE POINT that seems to be missed here - no matter who tries to point it out. Regardless of passion.

It is as it is.

As I have said a few times - Play on, - have fun and enjoy.
