Smile Free Scoreboard coming for laptops

The HHEFL uses a computer program that I downloaded last year for our scoreboard. The site no longer exist (that I can find), but it was created by a Subbeteo enthusiast in an effort to create a unique scoreboard to do away with their cardboard scoreboards. The program was free off the internet, as the Subbeteo leagues share all ideas that they come up with and this one was really well done.

Lynn and I are currently working on trying to get it to down load on this site. It is 12.4 MB and if for some reason we can not get it to down load, then I will be willing to mail a copy to anyone that wants a copy.

The scoreboard is cool for several reasons, but mostly because it runs smooth, can be adjusted at any point in the game and can be customized including to put photos in the background such as a crowd, logo or football scene.

If we have any computer experts out there...I could use your help. I have a IBM Thinkpad that I currently run this program on and I would like to hook the screen up to a portable DVD player, so I can mount it up to my stadium and have a working score board. The problem I am having is in the output. The laptop has a S-video out port on the back of the computer. I have got all the necessary cables to hook it up to the DVD player, but I don't know how to turn the port on.

If anyone can help I would appreciate it.

As soon as we figure out how to download this program on to the forum, then Lynn will let everyone know...stay tuned

Default .

I'm not sure you're going to be able to hook that up. Are you hooking it up to the whole player, or just the monitor? I do know that to turn the port on, you will have to go into the bios. Reboot. After it shuts down, and it starts back up, hit your "esc" key over and over until it takes you to the bios area. Somewhere in there will be your ports, USB, etc.

Default Connectors

Silverhorse,

Does your laptop have a blue "D" shape connector anywhere on it? The connector has 15 holes in it. The connector is called a DB-15. Does the monitor have the same type of connector? If so, connect the laptop DB-15 to the monitor's DB-15. You may have to use the function key on your laptop to send video to the other monitor.
