Visit with DSEFL

WOW...finally, after all this time I actually got to see MF played at it's "new" level with my own eyes, real time, LIVE !!!!

And yes, it was my 1st time ever seeing "head to head" competition in EF/MF unless you count the late 60's when we played as kids...not sure we ever finished a game back then as typically one of would end up in head lock

The BIG boards, the detail of the players, the SPEED of the players, the SKILLS of the coaches, the pageantry...outstanding and only 17 miles from my house !!!

Well, anyway, THANK YOU to the DSEFL coaches who were on hand for letting me crash their playoff/Super Bowl Sunday.

Sunday was truly my first time ever seeing all that is discussed here on this board with my own eyes and it was great !

I enjoyed meeting all of you and had a great time and look forward to seeing y'all again...I have already started to practice passing...LOL

Just consider this, I told my wife I was going to spend an hour or so there...I stayed over 4 1/2...what does that tell ya??? Watched both playoff games and then the super bowl 1st half and had to leave...They actually threw me out (JUST KIDDING)

I enjoy meeting you this weekend. I can tell you are dedicated to this hobby consider yourself a DSEFL member solitary or league play you live in the South my brother. You are welcome to fellowship with us anytime. Remember we are starting college in March if you are interested in playing. Our coaches will provide you with any help needed. I can feel your excitement and passion....... its great aint it!

I think the change you witnessed in EF/MF is a classic example of just how far the hobby has advanced in all aspects. You mentioned it all..Big boards, detailed players, tweaked bases, Coaching skill, pagentry and fellowship. This is first hand reassurance that this hobby IS heading full speed in the right direction.


Congrats also the the DSEFL crew also for making Coach Joe feel welcome. I dont think he could be around a better bunch of coaches both in caliber and quality.
