Question Excalibur board- tweaking possible?

I have the Excalibur board, which runs well except for a few dead spots. I was wondering if there was a way to fix these dead spots. I noticed that there are screws on the bottom holding the board to the frame; would I be able to correct the dead spots by tightening those? If so, how? Are there other ways to tweak this board? Thanks for your time.

P.S. If messing with the screws won't work, can anyone give me any other tips to get the board to run smoother?

I don't think many of us actually use that field so you may find answers hard to come by. I like mine for taking pictures of my players on, but I've never attempted playing a game on it.

YOU might be the innovator that figures out how to tweak that field and teaches the rest of us.

Stick an old gotham motor on that field and your dead spots are gone!

I love the way the pics come out on this board as well. and its so easy to take out, set up, and put back. no wires.

Default Hey Volcanohead

Try sending a PM to the user MANIAX. He uses the Excalibur board and I remember he said he had some success with how the players run.

Default A success?

Well, I talked to Maniax and he said that his board was fine, so it must vary a little from board to board. I went ahead and started tightening/loosening the screws, and found that they did indeed have an impact on the performance. After much experimentation, I found that the only screws that you need to mess with are the ones that connect the motor "legs" to the board. I adjusted these screws and kept testing it until the tension was about even. Now, the board runs better than it did before -- but with one catch. It runs well on Blitz 2, but for some reason it's less consistent on Blitz 1.

I would only recommend this technique to someone that doesn't care too much about their Excalibur board, or that has an extra, because if you're not careful you'll just make the board worse (I almost did, anyway )
