Conferences that are Set: the CBSMF
The PAC 10 headed by Eric Robinson has brought us into a new era of miniature football with Dave Campbell's Michigan Wolverines starting off 3-0-0 and Rob Lytle gaining an early lead in the Heisman balloting averaging 150 yards per game.
The Black College Allstars are 2-1-0 and are looking to challenge the Wolverines out west. Other teams such as Boise State should be a strong contender as they played the #1-ranked Longhorns in the Eric and Dave's Open Run Championship to a struggle. The Big 12 is headed by Geno Hendricks and the teams in the Big 12 are headed by Kansas State and Brigham Young. Flynt Hendricks will be one of the teams to beat in the Big 12. This young star coach is one of the sharpest minds in the game. The only thing that may derail this champion in waiting is himself. K-State should be the team to beat up in the Big 12 and they along with the other members are setting their site on Rivalry Weekend against the SWC. The Big 10 will probably be the biggest conference sporting up to 16 teams. Commissioner Hardmon says you can probably put all these teams names in a hat and pick out 4 and they could be the teams that advance to the CBSMF National Championship in Canton. Some of the big dogs include Sag-Nasty coached by Greg Hardmon, Ohio State Buckeyes coached by DFW great, JEasymoney Davis, Norbert Revels's Darmouth Big Green, and surprise force Joe Allore and his Michigan Wolverines. The Big 10 is stacked with great coaches and passion. Look for the Big 10 to have at least 6 teams in the CBSMF playoffs. The Big East is gonna be a Beast! With BAM Champion Brian Healey leading the charge, look for the Big East to be well-represented in the Ohio. Healey is one of the best coaches in the land and by indication of his 12-0 run through the BAM, this coach and his Georgia Bulldogs could be playing for a national championship. Joe Greco's Michigan Wolverines should be another team to look out for. Greco is one of the best students of the game and by kick-off, he should be well versed in the college ruleset as he is running quality assurance in that area. Another coach from the Big East who demands respects is Morgan Scott and his Syracuse Orangemen. The Orangemen coach is one of the best minds in the game and now, it is translating to the field. Syracuse could be the beast in the Big East! The ACC will hold its jamboree this weekend. Commissioner Kevin Boddie has 10 coaches coming into the ACC. The headliners include Kelvin Lomax. Coach Lomax recently resigned from Howard to take on a new gig. He will be the favorite coming out of the ACC. However, Alabama under the tutelage of Darrian Ross, Dru Spark's Florida Gators, and Kevin Boddie's Catholic Cardinals should be among the best of the ACC. Look for a great rivalry weekend with the Big East. The SEC will be coming in with a slant on the rule set. This conference offers some of the best there is. With Bryan Nutt leading the charge, the Tennessee Vols of the SEC should rule. However, teams like NC State, South Carolina,. and Virginia Tech will offer up strong opposition to the VOLS. Look for this to be one of the most competitive conferences in the country. The Independents will be led by Biglock's Rutgers Scarlet Knight. Steelerdude out in California will be at Canton after playing some of the coaches in the PAC 10. The Independents are in a situation where they will only have 2 representatives because they are spread across American and must get games in wherever they can. The SWC, which features 4 of the best teams in the land will come in with the most experience. #1-Texas Longhorns lead the pack which will have an early fight against the likes of Tennessee, Oklahoma, and TCU. TCU, a newcomer to the conference, is led by Don Hudson, one of the greatest passing coaches in the land. The coach, Robert Jackson, has been fired from USC, Miami, UCLA, and one other school sources say and now has taken over another school's team without the CBSMF ever kicking off. Until Jackson can get stability in his program, we can rate him simply INCOMPLETE! Look for Texas Tech, a team no one is talking about, to play huge in the SWC mix. Big dates include Oklahoma v. Tennessee, TCU v. Texas, Texas Tech v. Oklahoma, and Big 12-SWC Rivalry Weekend. The Conferences are set! It's almost time! |

Report from the Miami Beach Telegram......
...Coach Robert Jackson has been fired for alleged recruiting violations before the season has even started. The University of Miami reports that coach Jackson had some dealings with Ex-Hurricane players Michael Irving and Warren Sapp to land two of the top recruits in the land. Sources also say that since he was let go by the University of Miami he has already been contacted by two West Coast schools for his services. More news to come as this story unfolds.

What?
You first get fired from USC for the "Reggie Bush" scandal and now from Miami U for another. What kind of program are you trying to run homboi? Even if you make it to the big show your team will be suspended from the post season for CBSMF recruiting violations. I'm the commish of the SWC and I have to review it with the board but I think this is going to cost you a few scholarships. So instead of a 40 man roster, show up with a 35 man roster please. If you violate this punishment sanctioned by the commissioner of the SWC of the CBSMF you may subject to a lifetime ban. We don't play those kind of violations here in the SWC.

There are possibly 3-4 teams that can go into ...
Canton undefeated.
1. Michigan State-PAC 10 Vince Peatros-The test will come with Michigan v. Michigan State out west. Dave Campbell's Wolverines look like the PAC 10 juggernaut but Peatros has not started play yet. 2. Kansas State - Big 12 If K-State beats BYU (Flynt Hendricks) in home-and-away, the Wildcats would only have to win two in Rivalry weekend to come in ranked 1st in the country. 3. Georgia (Big East) may be a longshot but if he did it in the BAM, he can possibly do it in the Big East. The biggest hurdle will be Rivalry Weekend against the Big 10. They have been waiting on the Big East. 4. ACC - no one should go undefeated. Equal talent and experience levels. 5. Big 10 - Too many lions tearing at the meat here! This will probably be one of the most exciting conferences. Some people are anxious to see what Michigan State and Northwestern is gonna do! 6. SEC - great talent and South Carolina may be ready to throw a monkey wrench into everything! 7. Independents - They will get games in where they can but they are playing from a great disadvantage! No undefeats should come from this pack. 8. SWC - If you get out of this conference unscathed, it will be surprising. This conference will have a lot of games on the Internet so you will see high drama and tough losses. Don't look for many top 5 rankings from here! |

Geno, I knew you...
where K-U! I just wanted to ruffle your feathers! How could I not remember after your Jayhawks came back and "luckily" beat my Memphis Tigers in the NCAA basketball championship.
I think Rose and I talked about you a little bit coming home from San Antonio. She said you would be eatin' that up! I think I told her I would continue to call you K-State because I was still holding that grudge! I will see you in OKC and you can get that respect Coach Mangeno Sir! Tell Flynt get his BYUers ready too! Right now, I know Michael, RJ, and I will be there. I think John Rowan (Arkansas), Florida State (Pep) and TCU (Don Hudson) may be coming too. I am not sure how many non-conference games you guys want to do. I only want to do one myself but I am sure some of the other coaches would not mind doing 2 with the Big 12! I want to go get in some laughs and let my wife run around one of her favorite "little" cities. Bring your wife if you can. Reg |

Whoa Reggie, you just crossed the line
[quote=Reginald Rutledge;70540]where K-U! I just wanted to ruffle your feathers! How could I not remember after your Jayhawks came back and "luckily" beat my Memphis Tigers in the NCAA basketball championship.
Reggie, Kansas beat Memphis because Bill Self outcoached the Memphis coach and because Memphis could not make free throws under pressure. The 2 biggest plays in the game were when the big man for Memphis got his 5th foul 35 feet from the basket. What was he thinking (called lack of discilpline). The second one was when Calipari did not have someone, anyone foul Mario on the way down the court. They let him shoot a 3, OMG. Very, very poor coaching on Calipari's part, excellent job by Self. We EARNED that National Championship and the sweetest part wasn't the championship game but the humiliation of Roy Boy the traitor in the Semi's. That was sweet. If Williams the traitor never wins another game it will be fine with me. By the way, I am Geno's cousin. You don't know me, but I had to defend the honor of the Jayhawks. Doug |
