Default Playing on a white field cover

Coaches, I wanted your opinion as I am seriously considering using a white field cover with green yard lines/hash marks, etc...

I am not very experienced w/play on different color covers. (Actually, I just not very experienced on any cover)

Would it matter to you?
Do you think it would take away from your enjoyment?
Too off the "beaten path"???
Perhaps you think you might enjoy it??

What do ya think, I want others to enjoy my board...

Second question, whilst I'm asking:

If I built a frame out of 1x6 and the field surface was ~2" below the top of my rail with a place for the player's on the sidelines as well, would that make you uncomfortable to line-up, throw, or take away from your "playing experience". It does look to me most boards built have the field surface much closer to the top of the rail. Right now, I couldn't tell the differance as my passing is so erratic...

Thanks in advance, your opinions count !!

One season in high school football we decided to do same to our game field but later found out it was against the rules for high schools. We did a drawing on a computer and it looked awesome ! Wold does great artwork , get in touch with him and I bet you 2 guys will come up with something awesome ! Seriously , its gonna look great ! Great Idea !

In my opinion I love the look of green grass with white yard markers.

You make it whatever color you want. I have fun drafting fields on excel and changing the color schemes to see what they look like. I know Larue has shared some pretty wild looking, multi-colored fields; most of which I think are pretty sharp. Just have fun using your imagination! Brian

Joe, go for it! Don't worry what anyone else thinks. I have one cover with Bigfoot at midfield, another one with a nuclear powerplant, a Bozo field with not 1, but 2 circus tents and a field with pink endzones and a fairy sporting a flame thrower at the 50. And you're worried about white grass .....

Al, you set the bar for everything! By the way, have you ever done anything with Disney Princesses? I've thought about that for my 3 year old daughter.

Default Worried

Not really worried about what someone thinks, was just wondering if anyone felt the white might be too much on their eyes or loss of contrast when using their team in white.

Guess that would be no different then a Green uni and bases on a green field...

Thanks for your inputs, keep em coming...what about the field being 2" below the top of the rail...foresee any problems w/that??

Thx,

Joe Ram
