Countdown To The 2009 Draft
Greetings to all of my fellow coaches in miniature football. I hope that everyone is doing well.
Well the countdown to the 2009 NFL draft has begun. As the phrase is used in horse racing the 32 teams and GM's are jockeying for position in order to find the best players to help there team raise the Lombardi Trophy in the near future. I really don't have a favorite team but I do like to hear the strength and weaknesses of the various players in the draft. Of course teams draft on need but I am one who likes to build from the inside out. I first look at the blue collar players such as the front five on offense, TE, and the front seven on defense. I am most curious to see where the LB Curry from Wake Forest goes. By the way ESPN Classic has been showing college football games from the past that features current NFL talent when they played in college. I have caught some of the games with Edgerrin James at the University of Miami, Maurice Jones-Drew at UCLA, and Anquan Boldin at Florida State. Hopefully your favorite teams will make picks that will be beneficial and not long term liabilities. Have a nice day. Coach J |

Hey, bro
Tomorrow is a fun day! Like you, don't have a NFL fave, only during the season, when my favorite team is whoever is playing the Eagles. But I love the ANTICIPATION of moves and trades and the possibilities, which, though never seem up to the hype, are still kind of like when I was a kid, discovering
what was under the Christmas tree. For me, comparable to college national signing day in early February. |
