Default Drafting a QB........

Would you draft any of these guys????

I don't know of a Jr QB coming out of college to ever make it in the NFL, ......based on that alone, ...........I think I would go with an "O" Lineman if "D" lineman, and build the foundation for next year.

And from what I'm hearing no one wants the top 4 or 5 spots in the draft they are all looking to trade down.

If I was Detroit, I know Stafford looks good, but don't they all look good in workouts???? There seems to be a lot of pressure from the fans to get a QB, ......... I think I would look to trade down or get a solid defensive player, as their "D" seems to be the most needy....but that's me,.............I really could care less what the fans think if I was ownership.

What would you do?

i THINK BIG BEN WAS A JUNIOR - But i still see your point.
Sanchez by the way, has only thrown 400 passes in college. That doesnt seem like alot to judge him on being an NFL QB to me.
Detroit - They have a slimmed down Culpepper who can man the ship this year, while taking 1 more look at Stanton. They wont turn it around anyway, so they can draft their QB next year. They should fill holes all around the QB position first, whatever those may be, then get a rookie and set him up for success. Ryan and Flacco had that last year. Manning, Rivers and Ben a few years before. Thats how its done in the league now. QB is still numero uno, but the game has progressed so much that other areas on the field MUST excel as well. no more of just getting that hot QB and riding him to success. it has become more complete.

I would go with Either a O line tackle, D line or linebacker. The Lions already have Culpepper. I think with a solid O Line he could become good again. imo

If I were the Vikes GM, I'd trade them Sage or Travaris for a top pick to get an OL. Our right side sux! Adrian won't be running much to that side this year unless they beef it up. He'll get his carry's, but without a right side and Birk gone at center, don't expect too much from him this year.

Default Drafting a QB

Next year's QB crop looks to be better...I really like Bradford and Colt McCoy. There's no one in this year's crop that floats my boat...Sanchez seems to be the best in my opinion, but what do I know.

The only sure thing is that Ted Thompson will trade down at least 3 times before the end of Sunday.

Think about alot of great players and where they were taken in the draft.......4,5,6,7,8, I would agree with Rip and build a foundation within the lineman.

Default TRUST ME!!!

Most of us here in Detroit do not want a QB with the first pick. Most of us know they need to build that foundation first. I believe they would like to trade down to get more picks but everyone is afraid of that number 1 pick. I say build your "D" first THEN worry about everything else.
