Default Favre given release by Jets - Vikings next?

Gosh, it was reported that Favre asked for his release from the Jets. Why would he ask for that release except for his master plan...to end up as QB of the Vikes.

I'm posting it here because somehow, some way, it will happen. Packers get no compensation if Favre is released so he's in essence a free agent now.

He wanted to play for MN last year and didn't get the chance to...now let's all wait to hear how his shoulder has miraculously healed and that he just wants to play football again...barf!

Wow.

I don't know what to think.

Some part of this excites me. (Remember climbing the rope in gym class?)

Could he still play? Is it like watching the aftermath of a car-wreck?

I figure Packers fans are sick of this routine (rightly so), but is everyone?

Would the Jets get anything for him (5th Round Pick, 6th)?

Would this reek of terrible desperation on Minnesota's part if they took him?

What are your thoughts?

Cool, as a Lions fan I hope he does go to the Vikes. We need some easy picks.
