![]() COACHES,
Why cant we vote for 5 to 7 coaches to construct a universal MFCA RULE SET. **** THOSE WHO WANT TO LEARN AND USE THEM, THE INFORMATION WILL BE HERE. *** THOSE WHO CHOOSE TO IGNORE THEM, JUST IGNORE THEM AND YOU WILL NEVER HAVE TO WORRY ABOUT EVER USING THEM (LIFE IS JUST THAT SIMPLE) ****WHY DENY THE COACHES WHO WANT A UNIVERSAL RULE BECAUSE EVERYONE IS NOT ON BOARD. No one is going to do this unless we do it ourselves. John madden is certainly not going to call us up and offer his services. ****The reason why projects never get off the ground is due to some who feel it is unneccesary. They voice there displeasure then it is all forgotten because those who were on the fence about it have been convinced it is a waist of time. ***BOTTOM LINE IS, IT WONT KILL US TO DEVELOP A MFCA UNIVERSAL RULE SET. (IF YOU DO NOT WANT THIS THEN DONT PAY ATTENTION TO IT.) WHAT MAY BE A WASTE OF TIME FOR SOME, MIGHT BE A TASTE OF THE GOOD LIFE FOR OTHERS. It would be nice if two coaches got together from different regions and said, "you have your team, lets play by the mfca rules" ***NO advanced set and a set for new comers. JUST 1 RULESET FOR THOSE TO READ. Coaches will always play the way they want anyway. just give the coaches who want a universal set created the chance to enjoy it. MY TEN CHOICES WOULD BE (CHANGED FROM 7 TO 10) Any NON EGO driven coaches with the ability to work together via emails and tel calls. Once the ten coaches are selected. They are each given a specific task(area of the ruleset) to concentrate on only. (ie. A coach comes up with a fresh idea on kickoff returns, next coach comes up with new passing ideAs, etc etc) IT WILL BE LIKE A CLOSED DOOR JURY WORKING A CASE. They present the verdict to wolf and the governing body for review. Wolf and the B.O.D will have the ability to put there spins on the final package without changing too much what was presented to them. Once the B.O.D HAVE IN HAND THE FINAL DOCUMENT TO PASS INTO MFCA LAW. The announcement of the MFCA rules WILL FINALLY COME TO FRUITION. PS/ I HOPE YOU DO NOT TAKE OFFENSE TO THE NON EGO COMMENT. BECAUSE, IF YOU DO NOT HAVE AN EGO, HOW CAN IT BOTHER YOU ????? ONE OTHER THING. PUT A DEADLINE ON THIS PROJECT. We sometimes say, oh maybe it can get done by fall 2010. lets not do that, PUT A DEADLINE ON IT. MANTARAYDRE

I sat on the first committee to get a universal rule set some 12-13 years ago. We are light years closer than we were back then. Having said that Dre it would be best to continue to move at a steady pace towards our objective. Most rules are compatible now with the major emphasis being on weight, equipment, tackle criteria, passing criteria, and acceptable formations. The Miggle Rules would probably serve best for those who just can't agree on a ruleset. They are universally unbiased at this time.

![]() Dre,
All I can say is, it will happen if I have anything to do with it. As a memeber of the Board of Directors, it is my #1 objective. From the poll that was taken this past summer, it is something a lot of coaches want. Coming up with a basic set of game play rules is not that difficult. The biggest challenge is with the many variations in equipment now available (ie. figures, bases, weight limits, tweaking methods, game table sizes). What do you allow? Peronally, I think anything and everything should be allowed. If it was made to be used to play the game, then it should be allowed. There are those who will stretch things to the limit to gain a competitive edge, but then it is up to you to figure out how to beat it. That is what has lead to the many innovations that we now have available. So why not be able to use them to your advantage. We have come a long way since the first attempts at doing this and I do believe it can happen. Any one willing to work on this, please let me know, give me your ideas and I will present it to the Board of Directors. Thanks

![]() COACHES,
These rules are NOT meant to replace any standing league/tourney ruleset. These rules should be developed so the MFCA has a home base for it's own rules. WE HAVE A MAGAZINE, A CONVENTION AND MANY OTHER OUTLETS THAT HAVE MADE THE MFCA SUCCESSFUL. IT'S TIME TO HAVE ITS OWN RULESET. A UNIQUE RULESET. I like what eflfanatic has said 1) If was made for electric football you should use it. 2) Figure out how to beat it. ***I AM TOTALLY AGAINST MAKING EVERYONE AND EVERYTHING EQUAL. It seems the emphasis is to create this even ground then let the game begin. When the emphasis should soley be on coaching. "FIGURE OUT HOW TO BEAT IT (THEM). **I think the weight should be unlimited then craft the game around that. (ie: So a coach cannot use his brute strength to dominate an offensive or defensive line. NO STACKING, 1 BASE LENGTH TO SEPARATE EACH OFFENSIVE LINE. PLAY 2 STOPS PER EVERY RUNNING PLAY. EACH STOP CAN BE 2 SECONDS. Then the offense and defense can shift/adjust to cut back against the grain or find a different hole to run through) *** FROM 1950 TO 2009- IF IT WAS MADE TO PLAY ELECTRIC FOOTBALL IT SHOULD BE USED WITHOUT QUESTION. (Figure out how to beat it) 1)metal QB 2)BROWN BASES 3)BOAT BASES 4)BOILED BASES 5)ETC ETC ETC ***LET THE COACH CRAFT HIS TEAM IN HIS OWN EYES. If a coach did some research/homework in locating these hard to find ef products. He should be granted access to them in any game situation. I am totally against "IF IT IS NOT MASS PRODUCED IT CANNOT BE USED." ?????? WHY MUST EVERYONE/EVERYTEAM BE CREATED EQUAL TO PLAY ???? ****AS LONG AS EVERYTHING ON THAT PLAYER IS NOT HANGING OUT ON THE SIDES FROM UNDER THE BASE OR ELSEWHERE, HE SHOULD PLAY. I think many rely on the equalization of the equipment, rather than there ability to CHANGE OFFENSIVE AND DEFENSIVE SCHEMES according to what the opponent brings to the field. ***in the rule book there should be a tutorial on how to 1)weight your players 2)boil bases 3)tweak bases (ofcourse) 4)mini basic playbook for new begginers (diagrams draw by coaches). ***Give a brief description on why coaches boil bases, tweak bases, etc etc THE MISCONCEPTION OF PASSING IN ELECTRIC FOOTBALL First off, i do not think there is no such thing as a crutch in electric football passing. JUST DIFFEENT WAYS TO THROW THE BALL. ***The way a coach throws the ball is not really part of a ruleset. The ruleset is the TIME FRAME he is given to get rid of the ball In many leagues now there is a 15 to 20 second clock for the coach/qb at the time to make the pass play. Some think that using some forms of passing slows down the game. What i do not understand is if i can make the pass in 15 to 20 seconds using any form of passing. WHAT DIFFERENCE DOES IT MAKE TO THE OPPONENT WHICH FORM I CHOOSE ????? I made the pass in the 15 to 20 second WINDOW WHICH IS IN THE GUIDLINES OF THE RULES) ***The emphasis should be on completing the pass in the most comfortable manner for you. ( THIS SHOULD NOT BE LOOKED AT AS A CRUTCH). You still have to hit the receiver to make the play. I had a conversation with someone who in their league, the cut up cigarette butts and use them to pass with there hands. He said the absolutely love it. I think many newcomers would adopt this method until they get comfortable with other forms of passing. **If passing via your hand, the only criteria should be how high can your hand be from the field. You cant get as low as the players so give a realistic height. Maybe a standing ruler on the side to make sure the hand does not go above that. If it does, INCOMPLETE. ***PASSING FORMS 1)TDQ/TTQB 2)METAL QB (IF YOU HAVE ONE) 3)PASS PLACEMENT STICKS AND FOOTBALL 4)PASSING THE BALL WITH YOUR OWN HAND IN ANY GAME SITUATIONS, A COACH SHOULD BE ABLE TO USE 1 OR ALL OF THESE MEHTODS IF HE LIKES. (AS LONG AS THE PASS GETS COMPLETED IN THE 15 TO 20 SECOND RULE TIME FRAME) THIS WAS MENTIONED BEFORE. The weight of the players can be different but a players height is another issue. someone suggested creating a player cube for height and width while on a base. If the player can not fit into the cube comfortably, he is too wide or tall. MANTARAYDRE

![]() Dre,
I like all your suggestions. Would you be willing to work on a committee, to do this? Any body else interested?
