Default Tudor 500 board tweaking

I have a tudor model 500, it runs fairly well and not too loud. However, I wanted to know if anyone had tips on how to make it run even quieter and better. Sorry if the question has already been answered, but I cannot search the forums.

I don't know about the Tudor 500 board, but one tip I know about is wrapping teflon tape around the speed control knob. I tried that method on my 620 and it ran much quieter.
