Lesson in priorities

Well I've learned a lesson in priorities..
The hard way.

I've been with my girlfriend for 8 years..
And moved from Kansas City to Wichita to be here with her..
Bought a house right down the street from her..
(I'm not comfortable with living together, and neither was she)

She waited patiently for me to get this house I am in fixed up and sold, so we could buy another.. and either sell hers or rent it out.. But I delayed and delayed, telling her I just wasn't comfortable with buying another house, until I had done this and that.. blah blah blah.. the usual excuses.

She's always been very supportive of my EF addiction. Even supported me investing in the Tornado Alley bases... She didn't know what the costs were..
I did finally tell her a month or so ago..

SO I didn't (wouldn't) take the money to help with a future with her.. But I did take it to throw down the tubes for EF...

She's done with me.
Lesson in priorities men.

Make sure your priorities weren't where mine were.
Before it's too late.

Bill, I know it's gotta be tough after 8 years. But from what I read I'ld have to say that there were more deep seated things going on than simply being about spending money on EF bases. You've been fixing that house for years and kept putting things off. Why? Is it because you didn't have the money or is it because you weren't comfortable with the idea of settling down with her? Maybe it was your subconscience still dealing with the pains from the previous marriage??? You know my phone is always open to you, or we can discuss it more in our "secret" chat room.

but Bill in life the bottom line is this...if you are meant to be with someone then you will be with them, if not then you won't. PERIOD. I took me a long time to figure that out, and now i am with the one I am meant to be with. If it is her or someone else, when the time comes you will know it and it will be when you least expect it.

Don't wanna get all sappy here.. (and this isn't directed at you Peoples Champ, nor anybody else in particular.. in fact.. from your pics.. I envy you)

But then again we all know the facade we all put on when it comes to a woman is a farce.. Most of us aren't nearly as tough as we want to make it sound to be.. when it comes to a woman we love. I'm certainly NOT. I have no doubt that some of the REAL men out there would lose all respect for me.. had they been a fly on the wall of my house.. Just being honest.

Sorry Beenutt.. this is an EF board.. I apologize.. Unfortunately.. There was a tie in between my endless hours of tweaking.. the bases.. etc.. And you see what it got me.. Knocked out in the first round of the NHFL playoffs.. and this.. Not the major reason.. but.. a reason none the less.
