I'm shocked at how great it runs. I had no idea what I was doing. Like I said, Joe was a big help giving me pointers. It runs super smooth. I put a modified 308 motor in the center about 2 inches from the rail at the 50. I found that the trick was to reduce the counter weight in the motor and to tape it down to reduce wobble. Lucky 1st try. I am super happy with it!!!

I'll post a video of guys running on it later if I can figure out how.

same thing on my board. I first wanted to add bolts on my brass counter weights, then I realized that my board was a lot smoother without the bolts. ANother interesting effect, is that the figures stop quickly when you swithc off the board, probably because the motor magnets "brake" better with lighter counterweights.

Great board BTW, what did you use for the surface ? metal, fiber, plastic ?

Thanks for all of the nice compliments guys.

Surface is metal with a vinyl cover. Cover by Larue.

Mark, in response to your post in the HEFL thread, expect an update this week.

Michigan Joe is an awesome guy. I'm glad you got his help. Larue does his thing with the covers. Looking forward to the video of game play.
