Difficult to judge the first pic due to the light, but the second one 's got almost perfect skin and jersey tone and shade

You can use a desk light with an economic bulb. The bulb has to be a "daylight" type one. Mine is a "Phillips Genie 18watt Daylight". Take at least a 18watt light bulb (it 's the same power than a "normal" 100 watt bulb).

Otherwise, you can simply take your pics on real daylight, but not directly under the sun light. Another thing : ALWAYS disable your camera flash. It 's useless, you can't make good pics with a flash.

Last thing, if you use a desk lamp, you'll see that the natural light helps a lot for the pics quality. If you use the desk lamp at night, the pics are often too saturated.

You can find an excellent article (Darren wrote it) here to make your own light tent, BTW :

Default Excellent!

Those are some of the nicest custom McFarlanes I have seen. Your shading and details look great. Most of the ones I see just use base colors with no shading, but yours are collector quality. Did you design and print your own decals?

Very nice,
Michael

I have someone do decals for me.There are a bunch of guys on this site that paint the lil guys just as well if not better than I do the Macs.Too bad you cannot base up the mac's ha ha.The weighted league-lol.Thanks again for the kind words--STT PS I use to do just the base paint, but then got into doing historical minis. Those guys do shading, highlightting, ect. Now if I do not do the extras,to me it looks unfinished.Good and bad thing.

Shoot, just use the same techniques on the little figures and yours will look as good as any out there.
