Default Electric Football/ Young Kids

Coaches,
For some time now I have been working on getting a youths program(for electric football) started here in the Arlington, Texas area. This morning I met with the youth director at a local REC center and I'm very excited that together with his help, the help of the City of Arlington it looks like we are going to kick-off a grass roots program at one of the bigger facilities in the city. All flyers and advertisement for this pilot program will be provided by the REC center and the City of Arlington. They will provide a facility for us to showcase our league games and I, along with the youth director and any local coaches who would want to get involved would offer electric football classes if you will as an activity for the youths and or parents who show an interest in electric football. What my challenge is now is to help provide some fields, teams, bases, and possibly passing sticks to help kick-off this program. The teams dont have to be anything extravagent, maybe just some Miggle prepainted teams. The fields dont have to be extravagent either. I'm looking for each young coach having a team of 11 players, these players would play both offense and defense. As far as bases go nothing real entailed here either. Maybe some TTC's, they can be tweaked or I can tweak them myself. My goal is to make this program a success and help spread this throughout the whole area. My plan is to make sure these young men and women have fun, enjoy their time with the game and bring the electric football expierience to as many young men and women, and maybe even some parents that would have an interest in our hobby. And by the way there has never been any kind of electric football program offered through the REC centers in the Arlington area, this will be a grass roots, pilot program that will hopefully be a success and will gain momentum as we move forward. What is very exciting is I have the backing of the youth director and the City of Arlington on this. Any equipment that any coaches can provide would be very appreciated. Feel free to contact me if you have any questions.

That sounds really cool RD.

You can count on me for at least ten Tudor painted pro teams from my childhood that I will send you, these are some nice teams from the 80's. I'll try to get a few based up too.

Default WOW

Imagine your youth director calling other directors in other cities to get something like this going in each state, in my package to you, I will have a small note of who I am and the REC center closets to me,.......this may be the start of something big.

Wow,
Great response already, and thanks. Next week we(myself and another local coach), will meet with the Youth Program Director again, at his request to try and put things in motion. We must decide a game plan, and how exactly we plan on getting this off the ground. We will go over the type of advertising we want to use to promote this grass roots electric football class, and yes Norbert this could be the start of something very special. With the backing of the youth program director, the REC center, and the city of Arlington, and the help of coaches, this program has the making of being a success.
