Default The CBA league

I found these pix going thru some old folders. This was a gathering in Harrisburg.....I think? April 2001. Some the coaches pictured are:
AJ, Joyce, Pat Morris, Stoner, Rich Parks, Chris Stacey, Roo Morgans & Don Smith. Also you may catch a glimpes of Big Al & Abby. This was an old camera, that Sony one where you put the floppy disc in the side....yeah I said floppy disc! So the picture is cloudy, but I'm almost sure the younger kid in the photo is back-to-back SWB champion DC...aka The Kid.
The league was the Central Buzzball Affliation...or something like that. The Buzzball empire was just getting started.
My 49ers were hand painted by Steven Martin (who is still the defending Green Room Rumble champion)
SmokeStack who is pictured, but didn't play in the league had some out of this world Vikings done by Terry Popham!
Those sideline figs were created by Jayboy!!!! That guy was a genius. He inspired Chris Robinson, who inspired John Wright, which made Shawn & Damon step up which inspired Megawattz to another level!!!
I'm not 100% sure on how it exactly went, but that's close enough.
That's something we could work on...a history book or something of that nature. A time line of events in EF/BB/MF
Who was at the table when rules 2k were being hatched? Did you know Myron Evans started electric football in Philly? He developed a ruleset that we still play by in the PEFL. Harold King and Marc Thompson made advancements to it, and that's what we play with in the NEFL. They did it back in 97! Marc is also the guy who created the field cover concept.
Have you ever heard of Garrett "the G-man" Garitano? well he was one of the best hand painters we had, he was also some kind of graphics artist who did most of the leagues logos back in the day. He played in the BayAreaElectricFootball League. Chosen to paint the NFL anniversary team for Dr.Z which appeared in Sports Illustrated.
Dirk Thomas, we've all heard of him right? He would hand paint a team for any coach that played in the league.........FREE!!!?
Ken Allen, Jim Davis & others played in a league with a ruleset that required them to remove the switch/clicker from the board!?
A lot of stuff happened before I came on the scene in 98, so I can only go back so far. But it would be awesome to be able to read about that stuff.

That was in Hollidaysburg by Pratt's house. Great weekend. That's when I lit your photo on fire!

Thumbs up Some of those teams . . .

. . . Were going for hundreds of dollars, trust me. Also the DEFL ended in 1999 and became a part of the Great Lakes so that stopped then with the switch. The greatest part of that point Corey is that we played the style with some exceptions that my man keeps saying is best. For some reason I can think of his name while writing this post. You know, the DVD's, simulation, stop action, and adjustments during play. Anthony Burgess I believe. If not I apologize.

We decided to grow with the rest of the country. Funny thing is, we are slowly evolving to that style. Luckily, with the mastery of TTC's there is no need for all that stopping and adjusting!

Great Pics! A lot has happened since then with the people and the teams. Thanks for the memories!

Corey, I love these posts with the old guys and the good old times.
To anybody that has old photos, I am looking to add a section to the HOF area of the main site. I would love to be able to create specific event pages from the past and just need names and dates to go along with them. As guys have time, please email me your photos from past events to add to the HOF archive.
