1969 Hogleg Baltimore Colts vs 1969 Hogleg Detroit Lions . Classic old NFL matchup . Colts win 17-7 and advance to the second round. Some of the great old stars from the 60's and 70's include:Lions 24 Mel Farr, 71 Alex karras, 36 Steve Owens, 53 Mike Lucci, 20 Lem Barney, 11 Greg Landry and for the Colts, 19 John Unitas, 78 bubba Smith, 24 Lenny Moore, 82 Raymond Berry, 41 Tom Mattie, 70 Art Donavan, 88 John Mackey and 32 Mike Curtis. Next game will go back to the AFL with a match up between the Hogleg Chargers and the Hogleg Patriots.

that charger/patriot game should be fun. is that a convoy of colts in the one pic where 4 of them are moving into the endzone

i took that picture mark because lenny moore broke one up the middle for about a 49 yard TD and the 4 players stayed together all the way stride for stride.

i try to number all my teams to represent the great players of the 60's and 70's.....every now and then a more modern player will make the roster , but not very often.....i also forgot "the rabbit"...billy ray smith number 74.....i always liked him on the old nfl films.

#76 BIG DADDY GENE LIPSCOMB, HE PLAYED FOR THE COLTS FROM 1956 - 1960 ,THEN THEY TRADED HIM TO BLITZBURG WHERE HE DIED SHORTLY AFTER THAT.

Post jus curious?????

you have the great mike curtis at mlb so do you have the stork ted hendricks and ray may at olb's?there was alot great players on both teams..... dl john dutton,mlb mike lucci,de al baker and the old floyd peters silver rush defense was fun to watch too!love your old-time teams and games!
