Default one annoying thing in electric football

coaches,

Throughout the years, one of the most annouying things in ef is not having much room on a table to place your team. We try to put them anywhere we can. on the sides, that little space in front., on a table behind you. NOW YOUR LOOKING ALL OVER FOR YOUR PLAYERS. The most enjoyable board over the weekend was michigan joes board. he actually has real sidelines inside of the board where you can place all of your players on grass. You can line your men up like a real football sideline on grass. Board is spread out just right.

roller made an extended sideline for his bengals board that was nice.
I saw chris 5-13 with a extended side line that was mounted (clamped) to the table that worked well.

my question is, can a builder take on the task of making sidlines only. prefferably out of a light wood that can be folded. Or made in 4 small sections (travel purposes). problem is, how can they be mounted to someone elses board without leaving any marks or scratches on said board. For example, can it be made with some sort of space/groove that clamps right onto any watts, 308 or roller board. The way reg rutledge make sideline markers out of wood. it has that groove that fits right onto the 308. made just like that with the tray for the players hanging on the outside of the field

thanx

Actually, the clamped sidelines weren't mine, I believe that they were Celo's.
The boards that I make, and the one that I use, have full sidelines built in as part of the board.

Talking Already Done

Dre,

That's how all of my sidelines are made. They will fit onto any board. They fit right over the frame railing and leave no scratches and require no screws, velcro or anything - just a little gravity is all that is necessary.

The trays I had with me on my Bengals board were built in the same way. They slipped right over the edge of the frame.

Here is my Rams board made by 5-13.
It has plenty of room on the sidelines for all your extra players.
You will get the chance to play on it in the fall.

I think the trend is to include enough room on the sidelines of the fields to be able to set your team , and not on a table beside the board like we have done in the past.

Default YOU GUY ARE RIGHT ON THE MONEY

COACHES,

i HOPE IN THE FUTURE ALL BOARDS WILL HAVE REAL SIDLINES. IT MAKES LIFE MUCH EASIER.

1)PLAYERSon your left
2)kickers, ttqb's, stationaries on your right.
3)players on another table you must turn a get
4)players falling off the edge of the table
5)coaches placing there storage box in there lap looking for players.

most boards today take up the entire table then your left to find a tiny space wherever you can to set up your team. maybe sideline were not thought of in the past. when going up against fast set up clocks at least your players are right in front of you. not all over the place. YOU GUYS HAVE THE RIGHT IDEA.
What is the width of the field and sideline combined.

THANX

Dre
You are 100% correct. I played Mich Joe on a field w/o sidelines and went crazy looking for men. I have a tray I made that I bring with me but had no way to hold it on the field until Celo came around . Great Idea Celo.
He to was out of his mind trying to find players. Joe passed with his second string QB much of the game because he could not find his 1st String QB.

I have put pictures of what I use.

First my field with sidelines. Mich Joes idea.

Second my tray that folds up

Third made tray folded up

forth the claps that celo told me about and I bought at Home Depote sun morning.

Dre,

As far as my boards go, the width varies to the stadium footprint that I am making. The Saints board pictured is the footprint of old Tulane Stadium, the stadium that the Saints played in when they first came into the league. The Rams board for Jeff is the footprint of the Coliseum in Los Angeles. The field is wider than Tulane Stadium. The Astrodome layout that I did for Frank Jacobs' Oilers (keep that board out of the sun Frank!) is even wider than that. I'm waiting for someone to commision me to build the Vikings old stadium. It only had one sideline that both teams shared!
