Default NO " C " ON BEARS HELMET

COACHES,

I just saw urlacher with no "C" on his helmet. When was this ? I always knew them to have the leather helmets, the white "c" and orange " c ".

What year was the no "c " on the helmet ? not the leather ofcourse.

The Bears trademark 'C' logo appeared on helmets in 1962 and its use continues through present day although the mark has changed from white to orange and the shape has changed slightly. After 11 years, the white 'C' logo is colored orange with white trim in 1973 and still has the same look today.

NFC North , scroll to the Chicago Bears and look at historical helmets part.

Might not be 100% accurate but will be mighty close :-)

What I do not understand is , when the N.F.L. decides to go with a throwback uniform, why do they choose the ugliest uniform ever worn ??

NO WAY!!!

I really LIKED those Bears Unis! Much better than the boring (though traditional) ones they normally wear.

Who liked them as well?

Never been able to understand this, bronco's, bears, packers, the jets, and a lot more. The only ones that I like are the Chargers, Bills, 49ers, Vikings, the Eagles, and maybe the steelers. Why can't we see Cowboys 1970's era throwbacks?

I also liked the simplicity of the Bears 40's jerseys. (I do not like the words throwback, or old school- yuk). My only suggestion would have been to place the "Bear" head logo on the helmet. That would have looked cool. And even on sleeve of the jersey.
