Although the formal video for the Shootout is not finished yet, coaches are already starting to call to stake their claim at the Texas Shootout Championship. Here's on Coach Dave Haydel response:

Greetings, old friend. Hope all is well for you through this holiday season,
and I hope it is the start of a prosperous 2011.

After a 4-year hiatus of playing in competition, I'd like to throw my hat in
the ring for another shot at the Shootout, so to speak.

I'm still playing with the Jefferson-Orleans EFL and the Baton Rouge Swamp
Dogs. I've also tried to crush the notion you can't teach an old dog new
tricks, by embracing a 4.0 system and all its nuances.

My Bills are undefeated in the Baton Rouge league, and will probably be the
team which comes with me to Arlington. I will also bring some coaches along
to get some serious combat experience.

I will be finishing a 6-month deployment to Haiti in August of 2011. I am
excited to see this competition is back and well.
