Default Cleon's Tweak collection

aka Rastahaze has every Tweak printed!!!! I stayed at Cleon's crib in San Diego the weekend of the Open Run.

Guys, gals we need more writers, more ideas to keep this thing going. To make it better. Type it up in some kind of MSword or something where they auto correct and email it to Al D, or Wolf.
Take your tweak to work, the guys always get a kick out of seeing me in the mags.

I want share this with our community. I was emailing with Dwight Hicks, the former pro bowl CB who won 4 SB trophies with the 49ers...#21.
Well I was asking him if he had a EF game growing up. He said of course, it was all we had back then. So I went on to tell him that it's still around and that there are leagues all across the country. I said to him, you know it would be great for you speak about the game...for our mag. It would be cool to have a former player talking about the game of EF. I dont have much to say, but just try your best to keep your guys running straight is what Dwight said. I was like Dwight, it's way different now, it's advanced!
So my next email to him I attached the Nissan commercial shot by the LA guys. His reply was " I was pleasantly surprised! Man you guys have taken electric football to another level! Im impressed!!!

I came back with I told you. I was like I can't wait to tell the guys that Dwight Hicks liked the video.
He came back with, " No tell them I loved it!!!!"

Keep promoting this game/sport.

I look at that and I think how cool that we were able to do that. That represents over 2000 hours of volunteer time by writers, editors and graphic artists.

This magazine is by the membership for the membership and is also a great promotional part of our website. Being able to tell new visitors to go download the past editions not only gives the hobby credibility, but helps promote us as a professional and dedicated association.

BUT....The magazine is is danger of being discontinued!

It simply has become too much of a challenge to get people to turn articles in on time or at all and we desperately need others who can do article layout with the Adobe In Design software. We usually get enough to put together the magazine, but the effort, begging, prodding and berating to get to that point has become tiresome and frankly, frustrating. This should be easy, but it is not. The future of having a magazine lies totally on whether we can get others to step up NOW. From past responses to this though, I do not have faith that the magazine will continue.

Everybody generally says that the magazine is a must have for the association, but it then becomes just like the childhood story of the little red hen who was baking bread. Everybody wanted the bread, but nobody wanted to grind the wheat or knead the dough.

To those who have contributed on time, thank you! You know who you are and you are appreciated.

As far as the current issue which is already past due, we are still trying to get it done and we will, but we cannot project a finish time or delivery date at this point.

Pay them dues Mang!
I was giving you props on all those mags, you might miss one?

Some guys don't care about the Tweak, but the ones who do need to step up and start helping. 2-5 guys shouldn't have to carry the load for 200!

Please get some stories in. If you can't type, get the wife or kids to help out...heck make it a family project.

lets keep the Tweak around forever!!!!!!!!

Unhappy agree with you National

...and i understand you also Weirwolf

here's in Canada, we used to make a table hockey magazine for all tournaments, leagues and activity all across th country. It worked well for about 1 year and a half but after that, it seemed that players and members has lost interests on it.

As an alternative, we sent some general e-mails with all the informations needed for some tournaments, activity and suppliers.

Anyway, that was my 2 cents about it.

Take it easy

Default Not much in those stories Mang

Dwight Hicks loved the Nissan Commercial. I will email him any good vids we put out. He hasn't said much else about it. What I will do is make sure if Erob or Dave are doing something out there, I will let Dwight know. I told him about the OR, but he said he was going to out of the area that weekend.

The party with Jerry Rice was great, but I don't it would be much fun to read about? I will tell you about it in C-Bus. Here's a funny part about that night tho that I will share with the community.

The Parking Czar said that I could shower at his house before the party. I was in my Rice jersey during the enshrinement sitting with Dearell and all our group. After Rice gave his speech, I said well peeps I have to get ready.
You know how close Dan's house is to the stadium, so I walked on over. He was out there with a couple of his buddies parking cars. I said Dan, it's cool right, he was like yeah Corey, go ahead everything is right there. So my outfit was laid out, I took my shower. I'm just thinking about who might be there, what i'm going to talk about, should I have something to get autographed. All this is going thru my head as I'm getting dressed. I have on my outfit still thinking about the party and meeting Joe, Steve, and Jerry. Man I couldn't stop sweating...I was actually getting nervous, at one point I was thinking of not going. I kept wiping my head with the face cloth but it was doing nothing. My back was starting to wet, I had to take all my clothes back off, and wash up again. I went into the fridge and grabbed a beer and chugged it. Got my clothes back on. This time I was better, still a lil nervous but not sweating. Once I got outside I was as cool as usual and everything went smooth as a vintage 620.
The only time I can remember being that nervous was waiting for my son to be born!!!!

Nat'l

PS
Gents, lets get some stories in......anybody can do what I just did.
