Default Speed & Strength Competitions?

I think this should be a quick question so here goes...

When you all are at a competition and have your fastest player/strongest player events how do they work?

Speed seems obvious but how long is the 'track' and how is it set up?

Same thing for strength?

It might be fun for us up here to try something like that!
