TACKLING, AND QB,OPTIONS POSITIVE INPUT TREAD.

YESTERDAY ME AND ERIC THOMPSON SCRIMMAGED OUR PRO TEAMS AND WE FOUND OUT HOW MUCH FUN IT WAS TO PLAY WITH FRONT OF BASE TACKLING ON RUNS AND ANY TOUCH ON PASS PLAYS. (SUBJECT TO CHANGE) AND WE THOUGHT THAT IT WILL BE ALSO GOOD TO HAVE UNLIMITED SCRAMBLES, SAY YOU DO A PASS PLAY AND NO ONE IS OPEN AND YOU CALL SCRAMBLE,THEN THE DEFENSE REACTS AND THEN YOU TURN YOUR QB AND TURN THE BOARD AGAIN AND IF THE QB HAS NO ONE AT THAT TIME YOU CAN NOT CHANGE THE QB OUT, THEN THE DEFENSE GETS TO REACT AGAIN. BUT IF THE QB GOES OVER THE LINE ON A SCRAMBLE THEN THE DEFENSE GETS TO REACT ALSO. THERE IS A TIME WHERE THE DEFENSE GETS TO READ AND REACT TWICE IN 1 PLAY. JUST LIKE THE NFL, IT WAS AWSOME AND ADD REAL LIKE PLAYING. IT WAS REALLY FUN AND NOT THAT EASY TO SCORE LIKE MANY WOULD THINK. I THINK FRONT OF BASE TACKLING IS THE BEST RULE OF ALL. YOU CAN ACTUALLY SEE YOUR MAN MAKE THE EFFORT TO GET THERE. AND WE PLAYED WITH NO STACKING RB'S HAD TO BE 5 YRDS BACK ALSO THE LB'S 5 YARDS BACK FROM THE LINEMEN AND THE DEFENSIVE LB'S AND DB'S CAN ONLY PLAY THE GAPS OR THE MIDDLE LB CAN MIRROR THE QB UP OR BACK. RB'S CAN MOTION OUT THE BACK FIELD AND RECEIVERS CAN ANGLE,/MOTION JUST LIKE THE NFL. THE DEFENSE CAN MOTION AND ANGLE ALSO. IT WAS SO MUCH FUN PLAYING THIS STYLE. I LIKE IT ALOT.

WE NEED 1 SET OF RULES ACROSS THE BOARD. THESE RULES IS A GOOD START. A BIT OF ALL THE BEST RULES PUT INTO I RULE SET

ERICK IS A GOOD GUY, HE IS GETTING IT STARTED BIG. OUR RULES IS SIMILAR BUT NOT THE SAME. WE ARE DOING A NATIONAL RULE SET NOT 1 STYLE. BUT I LIKE THEM RULES THAT"S WHAT I'M TALKING ABOUT IT'S SIMILAR BUT HAVE MINOR DIFFERENCES. THE WEST COAST AND THE WHOLE COUNTRY NEED TO GET WITH AND LEARN THIS STYLE ALSO IT'S FUN AND CHALLENGING. THIS STYLE IS FUN POINT BLANK! I LIKE THE WEST COAST RULES ALSO BUT THESE VEGAS RULES WE DOING IS GREAT. THE COOL THING ABOUT THIS IS THAT THERE IS A MIX OF EAST COAST WEST COAST RULES IN 1 YOU CAN'T BEAT THIS STYLE WE ARE MAKING. A BIT OF ALL THE BEST RULES AND PUT INTO THIS SYSTEM HERE IN VEGAS. VEGAS HAS IT'S OWN SEPERATE RULES THAN ANY OTHER LEAGUE

We have been using FOb for a long time and it is indeed enjoyable...

... but the scrambles have me scratching my head as to why don't use this enough...

add to our mix is a "passing clock" that controls the board during pass plays... you don't get to keep the board on until someone gets open ... we play you get only 3 seconds to get someone open on a pass play.....

3 seconds to get someone open, are you kiddin me, that would kill guys who don't know how to tweak WR's to get open in 1 second, oh, wait aminute, some allow stacking of WRs,...LOL,.OPPS, I forgot, most look for the RB's flaring out in the flats,...LOL

That sounds close to how we play here, with the exception, the QB has to finish the play with the player who took the snap. U can scramble at any time, as long as your QB started the play with a functional base, & still in the pocket when the board is turned off. If u bring in a TDQ when declaring pass u cant bring in a running QB during the play. If u declare pass with a functional QB he can be adjusted to scramble, as long as he is still in the pocket, if hes rolls out of pocket he can still run just cant be adjusted once out of the pocket. Makes the defense play, cant sit in zone knowing the QB cant run, also we have a 20 sec. pass clock from the snap, no fixed time to run board when passing, makes the defence play again cant sit back and count 3 sec. thats an artificial pass rush. The longer u run the field, the less time u have to pass!

- FOB
- 3 seconds to pass... yes, it is real, not by mouth but by a timer
- no scrambles unless moving at the start of the play
- Turn and Burn...

...it's harder to play coverage when the offense can get an unlimited amout of time to pass with or without a pass rush.

I TALKED TO ERICK THOMPSON, HE'S THE MASTER MIND BEHIND THIS LEAGUE. BUT WE THINK THAT YOU GUYS ARE RIGHT AND HAVE EXCELLENT POINTS. BUT THE DEFENSE IS GONNA HAVE AN EQUAL ADVANTAGE IN THIS STYLE ONCE YOU PLAY IT. THE QB ROLL OUT OF THE POCKET IN REAL FOOTBALL AND STILL CAN THROW SO WE ARE TRYING TO MAKE OUR RULES LIKE REAL BALL AND ALSO FUN AND CHALLENGING AT THE SAME TIME. THE DEFENSE CAN COUNTER ANYTHING THE OFFENSE CAN DO, ANGLE AND ALL. SO THE OFFENSE HAVE NO ADVANTAGE, THEY JUST HAVE TO BE PHYSICAL AND ATHLETIC THE DEFENSE GET TO REACT TO THE QB 2 TIMES IF NEEDED ON A SCRAMBLE AND THE QB CAN ONLY BE ANGLED AT THE 1ST TIME THE SCRAMBLE IS CALLED. THE DEFENSE HAS THE SAME EQUAL ADVANTAGE. IT'S MORE EXCITING AND REAL LIKE. WE PLAYED IT AND IT IS HARDER THAN YOU THINK TO GET OPEN OR SCORE AT WILL.(NEVER THE CASE). WE STILL TWEAKING THE RULES SO YOUR INPUT IS VERY IMPORTANT. . NO ADVANTAGES OR DIS ADVANTAGES, FOB TACKLING AND ATT ON PASS PLAYS, NO FRANKENSTEIN BASES, NO BOILED BASES, NO PUNT RULE, 1 MAN 1 NUMBER 1 BASE, FIELD GOALS AND EXTRA POINTS IS KICKED WHILE THE BOARD IS ON, KICK A FIELD GOAL FROM WHEREVER IF YOU CAN MAKE IT 60 OR BETTER, LINE THEM UP, NO STACKING, 2 YARDS OR LESS AND GOAL LINE ONLY,BUT ONLY THE MIDDLE LINEBACKER CAN MIRROR THE QB. ALSO THE RB'S AND LB'S HAS TO BE 10 YARDS OFF THE LINE OF SCRIMMAGE, LB'S AND DB'S CAN PLAY GAPS TO MOVE UP ONLY .. WE CALL THIS THE GROW UP LEAGUE!! LOL BRING YOUR COACHING SKILLS TO THIS LEVEL. We have been allowing the QB to tuck and run unlimited.

One thing you might also play around with is offensive blocks. We have been allowing any unengaged player offense or defense to be pivoted at stops. This allows for a better run game much like FOB tackling. Sweeps, sweep pass, & pitches all come alive with well thrown blocks.

I like FOB on runs and ATT on passes.


SPECIAL TEAM PLAY-----> This area needs the most input. I dont like auto punts or auto kickoffs. KEEP IT REAL and get it done on the board!!!!!!!!
