I saw this ad once before. Odd that for an NFL license that they have blue or red players instead of NFL teams. The poses look like classic Miggles, with more wrinkled uniforms?? Upon closer inspection, it appears as if you get 2 TTC bases and the rest are rookies. The bases don't look like Miggles, Buzzballs or any other readily available bases that I've seen before. One on the bases looks like it's a darker green Miggle base thrown in just to have enough for each player. Not only that, but it looks like half the players are mounted backwards on the bases. Whoever set these guys up, I want to play against him!

Made out of plastic? Runs on batteries? $80 bucks? No NFL teams? It looks like a very poor quality product to me.

To me it is a bit of a waste to obtain the NFL license, have a gameboard that says NFL, but no NFL teams. I am no marketing expert but did I miss something here. I could be wrong but it is the NFL teams that do the selling and NOT so much the gameboards.

Remember, this is the companies first venture into electric football. I saw their catalog, and most of their products are very high end. I think they have the money to invest in the hobby, and give us what we want (new technology, quality products, and an ear to the ground for what the EF Community wants). Please do not throw them under the bus, and alienate ourselves from them. Give them a chance to find out about us, and make the products we crave. All of us, boiled, unboiled, custom figures, stat software, scoreboards, lights, stadiums, red peg bases, quicksilver bases, RL bases. etc;.

Default Homework?

If having a toy that says "NFL" on it is all we need to make us happy, than this is great news.

But if your not going to make a substantial improvement on a product, why bother... We should be looking for more. More realistic poses, bigger and better running boards and precise and easy to use decals. Has this "toy" company done any research? Has anyone been contacted or asked any questions about the hobby or the market? If ANY company was SMART, they would be on the phone to Reggie, Dwayne Jennings, Chris Robinson, Damon Lucas or Shawn Noble on how to make better poses. They would retain the services of a Bruce Watts or a Bill Porche on how to mass produce quality big boards.

Perhaps this company has done this, or has big plans on how to move up the product to the hobby, but I don't know how effective any plans would be without the involvement of us coaches. I wonder if any homework has been done regarding the ELF. I believe that the company that has been involved with the hobby for fourteen plus years SHOULD be able to do better.

Thus far they have a LOOOONG way to go to impress me

All right...who's gonna be the first one to buy one so that we can get a product review? Who knows...at the price of tweaked bases, For $79.00 maybe their new bases are the next magic ingredient in MF.
