Default Be honest ! What is your identity as a coach ? Are you where you need to be ?

Coaches,

What is your identity as a football coach ?
What level would you place yourself ?

How do you measure up with the greats

Don smith (26 out of 28 championships, who's topping that !)
Vince peatros ( The invincible one, nuff said, always wins by 50)
Michael robertson( The greatest ive ever seen play
reg rutledge( The king of electric football with 3 offensive lines on his cowboys)
The kid that stunts like his daddy !( 2 time swb champ, beat a room full of champions from there respective leagues)
greg hardmon ( one of the great great new coaches around, love watching him play)
Anthony burgess ( he is hard to beat in that MPFL style, ant, we will get it on very soon my man !)
The great smitty ravens ( The philosipher and x's and o's guru).
mr. strength, Jim davis (mowing over offensive and defensive line with his power bases)
The one and only BEENUTT, WOW, (The multi champ who only lost 1 game during the shootout)
Lomax (The great offensive mind and blitz master, watch his loopers)
JIMBO ( jimbo is a perfectionist as he marches up and down the field on you, PAYBACK IS ON THE WAY !)

( What will it take for you to get to the playing level these guys are on. I myself need alot of work but im starting to figure things out. Thats how i am with everything, it takes me a little longer than most to catch on but once i do, YOUR FIFTEEN MINUTES ARE UP !!!!!!!!!!!! JUST KIDDING, WELL JUST A LITTLE (LOL)

BE HONEST, ARE YOU WHERE YOU NEED TO BE ON THE PLAYING FIELD ?

I should be coaching senior center ping pong. Nuff said.

Oh wait....I did tie Beenutt at the Shootout and had him on the ropes down till the last play. (Maybe he was just trying to make me feel good)

Default Reinvention is the mother of necessity..

I believe you must re-invent yourself as you progress in this hobby. The best part I've learned is you can be many things to many people, and your desire to be active is only limited by your own ambition.

I have limitations as a coach, but the surrounding capabilities and potential is utterly limitless! So, as I once fancied myself as some sort of defensive guru, I now see myslef as a mentor to new coaches, and an ambassador of the hobby.

Default Sophmore

I see myself as the Sophmore in coaching. I know enough to compete and win some. But not enough to take it all the way yet. I'm no guru of base tweaking, painting, passing or play calling. But as far as rankings. I'm the grunt lowest on the poll, but needed to battle any war.

Default The Rookie - sort of.

Just getting back into EF. Joining my first league in over 30 years. Hopefully not as rough a come back as Joe Gibbs has been having

Looking to learn enough to compete on a regular basis with anyone out there - in any style - anywhere - anytime.

As a player, I'm a heck of a painter.

Default I Honestly...

think as a returning Coach of 3 years, i'm a fast learning middleweight or a young Landry. But I'm a pretty deadly and accurate PASSER. In other words i'm not a heavyweight like the coaches you named yet, but i'm on a steadypath of experience. I don't know how to tweek, but i know what bases to use for each of my players. But when it comes to PAINTING, despite not being well known, I'M A MASTER PAINTER. I prefer to paint the HELMET, JERSEY, GLOVES, HAIR, NECKBRACE, WRISTBANDS, ELBOWPADS, TOWEL, CLEETS, SOCKS, AND PANTS. (I hope to get some pictures of my work up soon.) I'm pretty good at detailing the names and numbers, but i love the detail of a painted uniform.

Default I see myself more as ...

an educator of the game. There is so many facets of miniature football that I love that coaching along would not quite describe me. When I leave the game of miniature football, my hope is that people will have gotten the necessary information they need regarding any aspect of the game that I may have knowledge of.

I hope people will define me as someone who was passionate about the game but willing to help others, especially those who supported me. I hope people will remember me as a guy who inspired others to enjoy the game as much as I did. I want to be one who people said hyped the game of miniature football more than anyone. I want to be remembered as a guy who was a visionary, who thought 10-20 years ahead of his contempararies. I love the game and I love what I do in the game but I never want to just be defined by playing the game.

Default One Icon is missing from the list?

Fellas,
One of the best coaches that I've ever seen play this game is Big Keith Chalmers! I'm always impressed when I wacth him play a game. He also has a lot of hardware on his shelf.
Let me just say that I'm the best coach ever to turn on a electric football board! I've been toying with you jokers for years! I've been allowing you time to catch up to my greatness! If you allowed all of the above rascles coach one team against me, I'd chew their Kazasses up and eat them for breakfast!
Seriously though folks? I'm the greatest because I always make my oponents look good and it's fun to play against me. Don't insult me though because you never know when I'll pull out my baseball bat!
So Long Everybody! I 've got proteins to play with !

Thanks for adding me to the opening of this thread.......

I would consider myself an experienced coach with still room to grow. I still help those who want help or ask for some advice.

Don't know it all, but have experienced alot in the rebirth (beginning in 1995) of MF and have my share of titles and big wins and ugly losses.

Play against some of the best coaches on a regular basis that keeps me sharp and ready to go.

Have played in many tournaments and won a few, won several league titles and have only missed the playoffs once.

Have beaten some of the greats in the hobby, and have been crushed by others and still HAVING FUN!!!!!!!!

Looking forward to capturing my first Columbus Day Bash Title.

Coaches have used some of my "style" of offense and defense to help their games and improve their game-play experience.

Have written rules, guidelines, articles and webpages for MF in the past and present.

Expert tweaker (although sell are down these days) and getting better as a painter/detailer

K-LO
