Default I Just Want To See Were Your Priorities Are

Coaches,

If you had one tv set with one channel.and you could watch one final sporting event for the rest of your life, WHAT WOULD YOU WATCH.?

You only get one choice on this special day of sports. All happening the exact same time on the same day.

1) ALI VS MIKE TYSON ON BOTH fighters BEST NIGHT OF THERE CAREER

2) JOE MONTANA'S 49ER'S( THEIR BEST SEASON) VS THE 1979 STEELERS

3)NBA GAME 7, MICHAEL JORDAN'S CHICAGO BULLS VS THE BEST NIGHT OF MAGIC JOHNSON'S CAREER AND THE LA LAKERS

4) UNITED STATES VS RUSSIA IN THE 1980 OLYMPIC'S (YOU STILL GET CHILLS FROM THAT)

WHAT WOULD YOU DO.

I personally cant miss the fight, it's always the one fight you dont see that turns out to be the ultimate classic. It would kill me not to see those other three.

MANTARAY- DRE.

P.S./YOU DONT KNOW AHEAD OF TIME WHAT WOULD OR WOULD HAVE HAPPENED IN ANY OF THESE. ( THIS IS BASICALLY FOR THE HOCKEY)
The chance you take is if you picked that hockey game, you would get what we all saw happen. If you choose the basketball, you will never find out what went down in 1980.

Double p.s/do you think the steel curtain would have shut down the 49er's ? That's hard to say. They certainly shut down Earl campbell back then !!!!!1

Honestly, there's not a better match-up than Ali/Tyson. Both in their prime. That's one HELL of a bout.

I'll take Ali in 99!

Default Well......

For me it is very simple.

1) GOD!!!
He is first in my life, he teaches me how to treat others, how to love others, in an ever learning state on how to live a life that pleases him. To stand on his word.

2) My Wife
I don't have one right now, but the Lord will make a way

3) Real Football
Coaching ( X's and O's ), the athltet , the rules of the game.

4) This Hobby

Now to answer you're question,.....

# 2) The 49ers vs The 1979 Steelers

If we're limited to those choices presented in the original post, then it's the Steelers knocking Joe Montana from the game and explodifying the 49ers.

USA-Russia hockey would be a close, close second. I'd DVR that and watch it later.

You couldn't pay me enough to watch a Mike Tyson fight.

If one of the Ali-Frazier fights was a choice, then I would rate it higher.

Being from the great state of Kentucky, I have to go with our pride in Ali. I believe he is the best sports figure of all time, and would dance around Tyson and frustrate him. I think Rocky Marciano would also get tyson...A lot of boxing is mental. Even though Tyson is mental, he was a bad joker. So Ali/Tyson......but Ali/Marciano would be a better fight

The best of the Jordan Bulls vs. the best of the Magic Lakers. What a match up. Jordan was a one man team. But the Lakers had Kareem, Worthy, Scott, Green, Rambis, McAdoo, Nixon, and the best 6th man in the NBA Cooper. I don't think the series would've gone 7 games. Remember, Jordan couldn't get past the Celtics or Pistons until both of them became too old to continue. When the Bulls played the Lakers in the 1991 finals, it wasn't the same Lakers team from a few years before.

An interesting side note: When Jordan first entered the NBA, the Lakers and Bulls had set up a trade, Jordan for Worthy, but the GM of the Lakers killed the deal. Could you imagine what the Lakers would've been with both MJ's??

Default My vote...no contest...

I will take the 1980 Olympics...I still remember watching it with my family and I will NEVER forget the moment when we won...I am not a hockey fan, but on that day I was and it made me so proud to be an American.

These moments are timeless.....and sometimes a photo says it all....
