Idea for 620 Field Goal Netting and Template

I got inspired the other day and I think I came up with a good idea for a goal post net for a 620 board. I know that most leagues have a field goal setup like this to take the guess work out of field goal attempts. All I have done is used magnets to attach the "Field Goal Net Board" to the playing surface. To make this "Board" all you need is the following: Magnet strip, netting, foam board, knife, some sort of tape (I use car decaling tape), two sided adhesive tape and a "t" plastic construstion piece (which you can find in your local hobby store where you find stuff for trains).

To put this all together was very easy. First, you take your foam board and place it on your 620 field and set a field goal up to it. You can either take measurements at this point or take a pencil and trace the field goal. After you have your dimensions you run the lines for the field goal all the way up to the top. Then using a knife, you cut out the foam board to setup your extended field goal area. Next, take you "t" plastic piece and attach double sided tape to the flatest part. Then you want to attach you magnet stip to the opposite side of the plastic piece (see photo). Now attach the plastic piece to the metal part of the endzone that is raised from the field using the magnet to hold it to the field. You should now have the flatest part of the "T-piece" facing outward with the two sided tape ready to make contact to the foam board. Line up your foam board and attach it to the "t-piece". If you use three pieces of magnet strips and press the tape to the board firmly, it should all stand up easily. To finish it you can attach netting to the back to stop the ball and keep you for having to spend 10 minutes looking for your football. I added red tape to outline the field goal and I used extra "t-pieces" to frame it all together. It really works nicely and the whole field goal board is easily removed.

If it crosses the crossbar - hits the goalpost support (ala NFL) and comes back - but does not go through the cut out does it count?

I just put the field goal up to show scale and the general idea. For field goal attempts I just use the board. It either goes through and into the net...or...it hits the board and bounces backwards.
