Default Great work

Great work KTowner. Must commend you on your wise statements too in the past. I've got a lot of respect for some things you have said.

Thanks everyone for the kind comments...and Reg, you can't know how much I appreciate your comment. Coming from you (considering the respect I have for you and your work), I take that as a HUGE compliment.

As a matter of fact...I know I've asked you a TON of questions on the 308 before..and I have yet to pull the trigger. I promise that I WILL be ordering one (maybe with a couple of accompanying replacement fields) within the next year. My company's in the middle of a merger and I have to see how my employment status shakes out as we integrate the companies first.

But I gotta have one...and I will own a 308 before 2008 is out!!!!!

Ktown, could you tell me what color paint you used on the Panthers sock stripe? Also the manufacturer. Thanks.

I used Apple Barrel Tropical Blue.

It's a very bright baby blue which, in retrospect, isn't exactly the color I hoped it would "dry" to. I hoped it would darken just the slightest shade to be perfect. The picture doesn't show the contrast but it is a little too light to match Beenutt's decals like I wanted.

I also bought Apple Barrel "Neon Blue" which looked to be PERFECT in the bottle but it dries too dark.

I think the Tropical Blue color is close enough to use as the color for the socks...but I want to find a more accurate Electric Blue color for the jersey color when I attempt to paint the Alt Blue Jersey Panthers. I may actually play with mixing the 2 (Tropical Blue with a touch of the Neon Blue) to find the right combination for the jersey.

Long answer to a simple question, huh?
