Default Too Accessible

I remember a guy coming on here once telling me that I "overhype" the game up. It never ends up what I portrait it to be. His name was "Question Man". Like anybody, I am human and I think about "Wow, trying to give enthusiasm to the game can be damming, uh?"

I often think about "Why is it people call a name brand figure, Reggie figures instead of Footballfigures.com figures?" when with other manufacturers, the figures are called by their brand name.

I had a conversation with a friend last night going through some marital issues. He told me of how if he and his wife were that accessible to EFLers, it would definitely be grounds for divorce. He thanked me that we were willing to make our lives so public to all that we encounter.

Guys ask me to offer opinions on things related to the game. You never know how how much your words may inspire, impact, or make someone feel bad about themselves. That's when you become hesitant to offer anything.

It's just a love-hate thing that you have because you know the scrutiny is tremendous but you have a wealth of information that somebody could use. However, you think some things are taken for granted. That is your lot in life as long as you allow it.

I remember being too accessible to Miggle and the Landsman. Whenever they said jumped, I'd ask "How high?" All in the name of "electric football". Busting your butt going all over the midwest only to be put on alert by the NFL and NCAA.

There are pluses and minuses to being accessible I guess but sometimes you wonder, is it worth the time for you personally?

Do you ever feel you are too accessible to your league or people in the game?

We don't have caller I.D. My wife is too frugle to pay for it . Anytime the phone rings after 7:00 pm she puts on her "it's an electric football call" face (its kind of like a disgruntled bear face) and says, "I know it's not for me". She understands but still thinks were all way over the top. (she has never collected anything and just doesn't get it)

So, she may think I am too accesible but I feel good about the level of interaction I currently get with everyone. I still have to balance it out because ultimately if I would have to choose (which I won't) between her and miniature football, she gets the nod, but just by a little.
