Default Bases Used for TTQB

What type of base are using for your TTQB and why?

I am sure you guys have your favorites, be it for feel, performance, looks or color matching, etc... just curious that's all.

Default Ttqb

I have tried different things for different events. My BEST combination is the TTQB on a backwards TTC, meaning the straight rear edge is forward, so that when I'm lining up the pass the straight edge doesn't tip and rock. I voted for the TTQB with a dial in it, but I actually lop off the prongs and the "dead" dial acts as a counterweight.

In my local league, we are allowed to place a magnet under the TTQB base, so then I use a dead rookie and the magnet goes to the front edge. This helps in one-handed passes if the pocket gets tight.

I used a plain rookie and thought that was ok until saw a post by Michigan Joe about customized TTQBs. I used the tac-n-stick type product to fill the underside of the base, it adds weight, similar to why you keep the dial in place, the added weight makes for better feel, it certainly does.

This is a great suggestion and I recommend trying it, I really do.

I have always put a non-skid strip of some type on the front of the base to help in keeping contact with the board for those one handed passes when your QB is in the pocket and getting pressured from all sides and you can't get two hands in there.

Default TTC with dial

QB on a TTC give the offense additional options in your play calling.

you can run him forward, backwards, rollout to either side or sit in the pocket.
