Default League fees , who is for them ?

We are going to start charging league fees for the Spring season in the MOMFL . I feel that this needs to be done to get a commitment out of everyone. The fee will be about $40- $50 and if all of the teams games are completed then a refund of half will be given. The fees will go to a web- site, trophy and maybe something for the winner and runner up and any other thing that might come up.
Does anyone else's leagues charge a fee , and if so how much is the fee ?

Default Yep....

....$100 in the LAEFL league. We look to lower that one day but as it stands it is a c-note!! DFWEFL is about 40 or 50 bucks but I will let Reg chime in on that one. That one I really don't know!!!

Default theres no romance, without finance

You need league fees! We usually are around 30-35 bucks. We have anywhere from 22-24 coaches. We have to pay for the facility. Buy trophies. We have a spread of food for the super bowl. And we pay for game clocks, or whatever the league may need.

If you luv playing, you gotta pay!!!!

Default $100 Per League.

COACHES,

In anything you do in life it requires money. every league should have some sort of fee to absorb future cost for variuos instances. I feel $100 dollars is reasonable. The money can be spent on important factors and for the upkeep of your league.

Default Fees, ..............absolutely

yes, ............the fee should be something that says " I'm committed", ........how much will a guy walk away from?

I think anything from $50.00 and up is reasonable to get commitment for a season.....................for a first year, I think $100.00 is certainly reasonable.

We have fees of $25 in the BMEFA. In return, we have a dedicated place to play games, a load of trophies/medals at the end of the season, and even on top of that, we have a league member who always opens his home to all of us for the playoffs (whether he's in them or not) and his wife cooks a large batch of food for all of us.

When you consider we had 5 game dates (6 with playoffs), and those days go about 6-7 hours each - that's $25 for 35-40 hours of entertainment.

You can't find that anywhere else.

I always thought that League fees were essential because of the high cost of trophies.

It is also a good gauge of the committment level of the coaches in the League. The most important thing about League fees is to collect them on time.
