Default Removable Helmet figures

Hi all,
Every figure I'm making now will have a removable helmet. I feel this gives the figure their own identity. The ispiration comes from the great Reginald Rutledge, whose creativity is the reason why I'm back into this great hobby!

Default Helmet

I appreciate the creativity shown on this site but I feel that this falls under way too much free time.

Default To make a rounded helmet...

I think all you would need to do to get a rounded helmet is to get some modeling clay like apoxie sculpt. Add some of the modeling clay to the the top of the squarish helmet and shape it to be more round, then paint away.

You can pretty much skip that step and go to direct sculpting with the modeling clay. Form a basic shape of the helmet with a bead of clay, gouge and shape the interior until you have a nice, hollow space, trim at the edges and either set to dry or bake —depending upon the material you're using. Sand after drying, then paint. Add facemask and you've got an authentic helmet ready to place on your player's head.
