Default Jimbo's Top Ten Reasons

Top Ten Reasons JIMBO Had A Great Time:

10. Mr. and Mrs. Commissioner - I can honestly say that this was the best time I've had in a while. I just came to have FUN and I did. Moreso just with the quality of the people that showed up. I hope Mike Guttman and I helped a lil bit with our suggestions on the Soccer game. That could be a REALLY fun game with those lil "tweaks." Thanks for your graciousness and for being the pioneers that you are. I'm glad to hear you're also considering making improvements on the 620s!!! Thicker gauge steel and stronger motors. THAT'S IT. Also, sidelines on The Rose Bowl. Excellent shin-dig and I'll see you next year.

9. Erica - could we have asked for a prettier hostess? I hope none of YOU guys are dumb enough to let your wives see any pictures with her or at least get your EF stuff out of the house 1st!!!

8. The Hargraves Family - Len, you've got it made if your girlfriend plays EF too! Elly, practice with that left hand. John, it was my pleasure sitting across the table from you. I had a great time being in the same bracket with you and Beenutt!

7. Lil Michael Hightower - I saw how happy you were holding my trophy and I know you're going to make the MWEFL proud one day soon. I think we have a 2 new members now with him and Matthew!!!

6. Adrian BAXTER - our games keep getting FUNNER and FUNNER! No matter what, I hope our friendship continues to grow and I can call you a brother. Thanks for hanging out a lil on Friday Nite playing the "new" way and having my back. You are one of the most classiest competitors I've ever sat across from. Do what you do and remember integrity is eternal.

5. Driving in the same car with THEE most enthusiastic EFer of All-Time and future Champ of many, many EF Titles to come: "Michigan Matthew" Allore. Hope to see you next week for the SuperBowl, either my place or yours!

4. ALL of my leaguemates: MWEFL - Frank, Edgar, Hightower, Ronnie B., Joe, Lil Hightower and Lil Matthew "Belichick"; GLEFL - Jimmy, "Norbit", Greg (Congrats again!), THEE Steve Martin, Tookie (DANG DUDE!!! Them LIONS are animals!!!), Shawn, Ali (FINALLY met ya, bruh. Hold them BEARS down and rep the Chi-Town next week!), both Tony J's (Johnson for another great game, Jones for your halftime speech to my squad!), Pat C (Glad to see you come out of retirement. Just have FUN.), Kenny, both Chuck's (LMK if you come off those PACKERS, CL!), Jamel, Damon, BP and Moody. Congrats to your league for winning COY's; HHEFL - Matt Wavra, Matt Culp and Tim Young, it was nice seeing you guys there! I know Tim had the time of his life. See ya'll at the Invitational. I can't wait; LAEFL - Rasta made me jealous with that SWEET LAEFL varsity jacket but made up for it with a "stripe!" Thanks! And to my new Grampa Mike whose just so small and cute you wanna squeeze his cheeks. Love them DBs on rookies. Made me go, "Hmmmmmmmmmmmm...? ? ?" I ALWAYS learn something new and remember something old. I shoulda used that Zone D of yours! Next time. IN THE ZONE - Big Willie Style it's always good to see ya and tell Boss to stay "Safe;" Harvey stay off them ladders bruh and Patrick for keeping your COOL. We both bleed ARMY green and I always got your back for having mine. Ms. Joyce, I already said I love Ya up top!

3. Will Travers - YOU made me glad I came! Words can't express how loved you and your family are. The way you carry yourself is how I hope to be when I grow up. LOVE and PRAYERS everyday.

2. Ms. Joyce Rogers - seeing the EF sparkle in your eye and knowing that Dirk saw everything through her eyes this weekend was special beyond words. This is what EF is supposed to be - no agendas (myself included! ) and just pure, clean F-U-N. Hope to see you in Virginia this Summer. Call me 773-412-7789.

1. The Jennings Family - Like I said about The Hargraves, YOUR family is one of my favorites. Not a lot of personal examples in my lifetime, but when I showed you and your family a picture of my baby and your wife showed me one she took last June, I almost cried (NOT AGAIN, JIMBO!!!) To see your whole family support you and see that you don't stop short of excellence in anything you do means I'd like to hug your Mom and Dad and tell them both "Job well done!" YOU are an excellent MAN, FRIEND and BROTHER! I look forward to many more family reunions 'cuz I ain't never leaving home without mine again!!! And then you top it off with the ARENABOWL Program and Ticket from last year? Priceless!

HONORABLE MENTIONS:

In no means does this list mean any less to my overall experience. One without the other wouldn't have been the same.

  • Dave Redmond - MAN IT WAS GOOD SEEING MY BOY FROM HOTLANTA! Thanks for your words before, during and after The Game! We gotta hang out next time. Wish the weekends were 5 days and the work week was only 2 days!!!
  • Andrew Stewart - DANG, YOU GOT SPEED! Keep on trucking. I know we're gonna be hearing A LOT about you in years to come. It comforted me to see that you took your lump and yet had a GREAT time!
  • Joel Pritchard - I'm glad Beenutt talked you into coming or vice versa! That SC team is the only SC team I can bare to look at!
  • AJ and CorEy- seen ya guys enough to know it's always good to hangout. Wish we coulda done more, but time flies.
  • Larue - It was nice to meet guys from the longest running league in the country!
  • Dearell - I was upset too that none of us could get down in the Green Room Rumble. Maybe next time.
  • Michigan Man - That was absolutely hilarious! Friday Nite you were meek and mild-mannered and then on Saturday - MICHIGAN MAN! Beautiful! The kids enjoyed it. ALL of us from 2 - 92!!!
  • Steve Miles and David Nickles - I wish everyone had that pure innocent, "let's just have fun attitude" that you guys have! Absolute pleasure actually talking on the side with you guys! Tell Jody we missed him.

It was nice meeting your sister and nephew as well. He had that look of awe in his eyes too. Hope to see you both playing next year.
  • Embassy Suites - Is that the best hotel ever!?! I slept like a baby, and as soon as my head hit the pillow I was out like a light.
  • "Beam-me-up-Scotty-Hooper" aka MICHAEL DOWNS, was cool just sipping some wine Saturday Nite while you watched Tookie's LIONS looking like The Fastest Team on Turf running thru my GIANTS. Hope nobody took pictures! "I thought you went to play electric football!?! And you sipping wine with some pretty girl from New York!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  • Joe Greco and Ed Roche - GREAT seeing you two Gentlemen again! Is ed a diva or what? How many times did he make a costume (jersey) change in one day!?! • The Fulton Boys - I had fun just watching you two getting around to every table and looking at everybody else's teams! Glad you made it and Congrats to Lil Jerry!
